Tek 2.5 for sale
Originally supplied by Power Engineering
http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/acatalog/subaru_products_engine.htm#EMU
This is for UK my99/00.
Its based on the TEK2 but with a higher boost target and held for higher up the rev range.
Ideally with full decat, but not neccessary
NO ECU REQUIRED as I have the original still, which will give you the bonus of being able to keep your standard ecu so you dont have to muck around trying to find a stock ecu (around 100-120)when you sell the car etc. Or you can sell your old ecu to get some money back.
£450 no offers at all.... Unleash the beast!
Also Forge vta dv with both springs in good order.
£50 no offers - cheap as chips already.
Please email stevewells@blueyonder.co.uk I will treat them in the order they arrive in my inbox.

A tek 2.5 with full decat is awesome and good for around 270bhp. It will work with the normal cats in place but you wont see the benefit and I imagine it would struggle to reach its higher boost targets? Go for it and get a downpipe on there!
Email John Banks for info.

Yup the extra .5 means it has been tweaked to take advantage of afull decat, aswell as the extra fuelling and higher boost target.
I do have a full decat downpipe and centre, but they are on teh car at the moment. I didnt advertise them, as I'm not sure what time and gaskets etc are reqd to put the old one back on.
If anyone is interested in the ss downpipe and centre, I will do them for 150 - if the buyer can advise/assist in the removal of.
The combo of full decat and tek 2.5 is indeed astounding. I am only selling in an attempt to raise money to keep the car at all at the moment.

Its for a UK car, not P1, and was actually a PE Tek2.5, it didn't come from John Banks. Its based on the TEK2 but with a higher boost target and held for higher up the rev range.
With full decat I had no probs keeping up with P1's! Where the P1 has higher bhp, mine had higher torque
Was good for about 270bhp.
Will work with or without cats, but you'll get most benefits from being decatted!

Sent you an email.
Couple of questions..
Will it fit staight in a MY99, I have heard a replacement ecu may need to be coded by a dealer?
Is it compatible with the built-in alarm/immob?
Cheers

Just to help out again,
All you do is lift the passenger carpet up, remove the ECU plate cover. Unplug the ECU (3 block connectors) replace with new ECU!
Job done.
No problems with the alarm etc.
I dont know the seller, just a bit about TEK ecu's.
