Welcome to the world of Scoobys, I did the same as u and swapped my mini cooper s for a wrx last January, its cost me a fortune and I still miss the old pocket rocket, some time wish I kept it and pushed it to 210 bhp would have cost me allot less in the long run

bttt for a car that keeps it money unlkie our scoobs

We would have kept ours but the physical size was starting to cause us problems.

They are fantastic to drive, and real head-turners, but then again so is the scooby.

Hopefully ours won't cost us too much in the long run, its got to be better on tyres than the cooper s, we managed 8k, which according to the dealers is bluddy good going. £186 per tyre when they only average 4k is horrifying.

Dick, have you tried to sell it to Godfrey Hall in Shrewsbury? They were quite interested in buying my 2001 Cooper from me.
In the end I sold it to Rydale Sutton (A guy called Mike Priddey bought it) for about 1000 quid less than I paid for it, although this was when people were paying stupid money for the things.

Failing that, try Castlecroft Garage in Wolverhampton. (www.castlecroftgarage.com)

Good luck!

Cheers for that m8.

Went to Hylton (Subaru dealers) in Shrewsbury, they said that BMW have issued a notice requesting all minis that get offered at other dealerships for px would be bought back by bmw.

So tried Godfrey Hall in Shrewsbury but they only offered me 14k - paid £18 for it new. Rydale offered 14.5k. Dealer has offered 14k and reduced new WRX cost to 18,995 so thought that was quite a good deal. If don't manage to sell privately will take it.

It begs the question of how the media reckon used cooper s's are fetching the same if not more than the new price (without the 9 month wait)

I know, it`s often just a load of cobblers! Like I said, I sold my Cooper in 2001 so it made good money. Have you advertised it on www.mini2.com ? They have a for sale section, might be worth a punt? How about Benham Wolverhampton?

Best of luck anyway!
