If things dont change ....like l win the lottery in a couple of weeks my baby could be up for sale....
1989 legacy rs 2.0 turbo
standard engine box and diffs(rs spec/similar to wrx..close ratio, lsd's ect)but fitted with hks induction kit and full decat 3" exhaust...sensible mods, about 250 bhp.
tein adjustable suspension,height and damping.
tein top mounts camber adjustable on the front ,fixed on rear.
subaru wrx 4 pots and discs on the front and vented discs on rear
wrx seats
omp racing wheel
8 3/4x17" works legacy speedline wheels, with brand new kumho ecsta 235/45/17 tyres
white line anti lift kit(big difference)
the rest of the car is standard spec eg,air con, switchable power steering, electric windows but no sunroof (homologation special)
This is not your average legacy turbo, the legacy rs is the base model that powered colin and richard burns to 3 consecutive british titles it is extremely rare in this country as it never flooded the market like the later subaru impreza wrx ect,it has reasonably low miles(60,000)and is in very good condition, one for the rally fans me thinks.....some where near £6000 would tempt me to sell....pics are available by e-mail.....cheers steve

Good luck selling it mate - I've got an '89 RS and I'll second the fact that these rally machines are extremely rare now (couldn't find a single one on the autorader site the other week!).
For anyone interested the RS is a helluva nice car that doesn't attract the same car criminal attention that the imprezas do but still has loads of va va voom! They tend to have more extras as well as a few of my local impreza owning chums mentioned to me recently.
Quality street sleeper, VERY rare, and a little bit different. Go on, give this chap some money and get yourself a nice motor!

No worries mate. Hope you have some luck if you have to sell it. I've promised myself that the only time I'll think about getting rid of mine will be when (if) I can afford an R32 GTR.....
Email me if you want, it'd be good to see another old school RS over here (think I may have the only one on the island), even if just for a flying visit!
Be interested to know what goodies yours has got too.....

Hi legacy rs will let you know if l come over in may, almost a definate yes but not sure if my mates would stand the fuel bill of bringing my legacy over too.......might have to foot the bill myself.
Just finished the last of the rothmans stickers this morning and she looks fantastic....the more l see the less likely it is l will sell it.....the spec of the car is shown at the top of the thread but hoping for gems and bigger breaks next year........cheers steve

Good stuff - couple of Q's for you:
Did your WRX seats bolt straight in with no fuss, or was it a bit of a mission? Quite fancy some myself.
What backbox is on your exhaust? I've got 3" afterburner downpipe & centre pipe but can't afford the £300 odd for the backbox for it at the moment so I could do with finding a 3" straight through backbox to go on that won't cost me a fortune!
