Hi Pbone, i`m looking into buying one of these after xmas so firstly if yours was still for sale then i will be interested and secondly could you answer the following if you can!
1) How would you say the power on your`e car would compare with an Evo 6 which was my last car, what bhp and torque figures do subaru give for the car?
2) Is it true that Subaru toned down the noise of the engine by altering the firing order, and is it also true that you can get another ECU or have the original one re-programmed to get the dinstinct scooby engine tone back by changing the firing order?
The car looks stunning!

Impreza99
Question 1:Subaru give figures 305ps/bhp & 299lb/torque(PPP)
Question 2. Not sure on the firing order (too tecnical) The Prodrive ECU is re-mappable.
When after xmas are you thinking. If the car is still available then you are more than welcome.

Never heard of this. The off beat noise of a Subaru comes from the use of the of a flat 4 'boxer' engine. As such the exhaust manifold is un-equal length which makes the car sound the way it does.
The new age cars have larger cats which stiffle the noise somewhat but by using a free flow aftermarket back box the noise returns. Going a stage further a decatted new age car sounds no different from a decat classic shape.
Some of the newer Jap spec cars come with tubular manifolds which are near to equal length and on these cars the offbeat noise has been lost somewhat.
This is a UK car with a Prodrive free flow exhaust so the boxer thrum will definitely be there. With coilovers I would imagine this car handles like a dream.
