this is a close ratio, and if you give your gearstick (1995 type), you can have the quickshift too.

has done approx 25,000 miles.

rear diff is LSD
Speeds in gears at 7000rpm:

1st = 30mph
2nd = 50mph
3rd = 70mph
4th = 90mph
5th = 125mph

will greatly improve acceleration of the standard uk box.

gearbox and diff are both in perfect working order, they make no noises, whining etc, all synchros perfect too, does not crunch into any gears.

price = £600 need collecting from north wales, but will travel to meet within reason.

hrubago, believe its the same gearing, but however as it is from the wrx ra and not the sti ra, it does not have the electronic centre diff.

Ian, does the train have the low diff ratios?
I want to change my STi V3 to such a drive train for my hill climb car. What year is it from? does it have all the parts with it inc the center consol knurled adjuster? (etc)
I'm based in Wolverhampton, so no big deal to pop over to Wales!
I'm not messing about.

hi Graham,

it is from a 1996 WRX RA.

i am told (not 100% sure) that the diffs are the 4.44 ratio. they are very low anyway.

the knurled centre controller you mention is to control the electronic centre diff which is found on the sti ra and type-r, and not this wrx ra box.

as for hill climbing, this is the lowest and closest geared box/diff found in any factory subaru.

p.s. diff is removed, and box should be out in the morn, so can be collected on weekend if required, and also, if collected i will take £550 for them.
