Have just bought a Ninja from Scoobyworld
An afterburner would have been nice and loud though

I find it just a bit too loud!! I'm now thinking of the Hayward and Scott box that has standard noise with a 4.5" tail pipe - swop anybody?

I use an Afterburner Stealth just the right volume for me, just a thought why not ring H&S who make them anyway and see if they can fit some extra baffles in it for you ??
May be the cheapest option.

That's also something else that I'm considering. I thought that it might be easier to sell the Afterburner and start again but if it doesn't sell soon I might get it converted - they put a small silencer just behind the flange I believe.

When i ordered mine in the begining i had second thoughts and they made it quieter for me....... and it still pops and growls......
Would not think it would cost much to do as if you buy new you will have to pay postage on it also with the slight decrease in sale price to new price i would not think it would cost hardly anything by the time you consider that.
Give them a call they like to keep there customers happy, i had mine fully polished by request

Simon

Edited because i can't seem to spell tonight !!!
Think i need some food lol

It costs around £100 to modify + carriage so it's not exactly cheap and I then have a £400+ back box... But it's still an option though

I've had a Scoobysport box before and it was OK but I'd like the bigger tail pipe this time, thanks

I can't believe you haven't sold this yet. This is one of the best exhausts for that flat four burble.
BTT for a top piece of kit!

Cheers Barnesy. I'm a bit puzzled myself because it's a worthwhile saving over a new one and there aren't many boxes for sale at the moment either

I've moved this to a new thread because this one is getting a bit untidy.

See here http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=275405

(How do I make this a clicky? )
