Feckinhell that is one clean car
Was that taken recently or the day it came home from the dealers?
Good luck, it looks a beaut.

Thanks! The photo is pretty recent - I was trying to show off the
effects of zymol to someone.

Another point, she's just had a new clutch under warranty - so no clutch judder on this baby. Oil changed every 3 months. This car has been cossetted.

Reason for sale is that it probably won't be used much this winter, so is becoming an expensive garage ornament.

BTT for THE best colour Impreza

Could I ask what make those alloys are? Gold alloys look great on Red Mica imho.

Good luck with the sale!

Question

I believe they are Speedline Supertourismo?? They were an option from the dealership. (Still totally unmarked )

Must admit, the red mica/gold wheel combination gets alot of positive comments. (and I'm a girl so I can get away with 'gay' wheels). Although I was rather forced down the red mica route ('cos there were only about 20 unregistered classics in the country when I bought this one and the majority of those were white) I think it's turned out to be a stunning colour which produces a really deep shine.

Karen,

Oi - mine's red mica with gold wheels - are you calling me gay???

Don't suppose you'd consider swapping your alloys for my std MY00 gold alloys + cash would you??? They are unmarked with virtually new tyres??

Steve, you're obviously 'man enough' not to worry about gold wheels.

Rather not swap the wheels 'cos they kinda make the car. Sorry!

Talking

Karen,

lol

No worries, it was worth a try (But if you change your mind can I have first refusal???)

Good luck with the sale, and hold out for the full amount as I think you're asking a fair price.

I think the wheels are lovely and I'm a bloke.

What are you replacing it with? You don't want a cheap car as a runabout do you? )

Have you had any mods on the car at all cos the insurance is quite a major part for me so non insurance effecting mods are the order of the day.

Also another question. What economy do you get out of a scooby cruising at 70-80? I haven't driven one for long enough before to find out and I'll have to use it as a bit of a commuter as well as my baby!

Lovely car Karen and I hope it's still around in the new year so I can think about this one.

I'm afraid the decision has been made to move over to the dark side. Harsh, but true.

The only performance mod is the Scorpion exhaust. I do, however, have the original system still.

Dunno what the fuel consumption figures are, but I do know the de-cat makes the car appreciably more economical in it's drinking habits. Although I've not really used it for sustained periods of time to be able to judge it accurately.

Keep in touch, 'cos she's the genuine article. Our local dealership can vouch for the fastidiousness of the owner.

Biggles11,

You are more than welcome to come and have a look and, if she matches your expectations, a decent deposit will secure the car for a reasonable period.

We're going to start advertising seriously soon because we want to sell before Christmas if possible. (Hope to order the new beast then).

Cheers,

K.

Another point, she's just had a new clutch under warranty
Just curious, did the garage moan about the de-cat exhaust when changing the clutch under warranty.

Honest to God you need to put this car on eBay - I've just sold my 2002 '52' plate WRX (bug eye) for £16,500! - everybody on here was telling me I'd be lucky to get £14,000! It's a beautiful looking car and deserves to make a sensible figure - let's at least try to keep the price of these cracking cars somewhere near sensible! I reckon it's good for at least £13k on eBay! Good luck with the sale and don't listen to the people who tell you it's worth any less than £13k!

How much commission do you have to pay E-bay and is there any guarantee that the winning bidder will actually pay?

'sold' my car on ebay too - the 'buyer' never emailed after the sale to complete the transaction Ebay did return my fees however but I'd be wary of using that method!
