MY02 WR BLUE MINT
#1
Purchased from main dealer for 16K just 3 months ago, now for sale as I got bored and want something different.
52 Plate WR Blue - bought with 8K miles - was traded in by original owner for Sti8 and is in very good condition as you would expect. Mileage now is still under 10K and the 10K service was completed by dealer before delivery.
I took up several niggles with the dealer during my ownership which resulted in the following being done under warranty..
New Stereo fitted
Booked in for 9/12 to have heater unit replaced
Sti backbox fitted as standard box made squeek!
Chucked on some WRX Mats.
I Paid £16K for the car and its still in the same condition. I've been offered £15K for the car as part exchange on the new car I've chosen, if anyone wants it at 15K cash you can have it.
I'll so some piccies over the weekend if I can but I can assure you its as you would expect from main dealer.
Cheers

Bloddy hell - so what you reckon it would be worth in a year with 20K miles still in top condition?
Not that I'll be keeping it as looking at what its worth now I'll prbably have trouble giving the **** away next year!

about £12-13k.
don't forget motorpoint do MY03 nu shape at £16.5 k
I was even looking at a WRX3 with 5k miles for just over £15k.
UK spec import i know.. but still good price.
get the £15k now before the think about it more!

Bollocks to £12 - £13k! I've just sold my '52' plate WRX - identical to this but with morettes and STi spoiler - for £16,800! Stop letting these cars be sold for ridiculous money! They're only depreciating so rapidly because some people out there are prepared to shafted when it comes to private sales - check out the main dealer stock lists if you don't believe me - try finding a '52' plate WRX with less than 10,000 miles (in a sensible colour) for less than £16,000 - you can't do it! The dealers are still making their margins - stop being walked all over and cheated out of your cars - they ARE worth good money! A dealer will always factor in a margin of at least £3k profit - a friend of mine let his 2002 '02' STi with 15,000 miles go to a dealer for £16k - they had it on their forecourt a week later for £19,995 and it sold in less than a month! Think about it!

Andy - got some valid points there mate.
I went to a few more garages yesterday and I'm happy to say my car will get 15 from most decent main dealers, Audi, Honda etc.
Main reason is less than 10K on UK car - Sti back box and tracker = a grand of extras and the Honda dealer wrote CLEAN on the assesment, said it was the first time he'd put that on a trade car for months!
I went to Scoobs and they offered me 13K and I know they can sell it for 16K - thats the UK main dealer guide price for this and mine would come top of the list as they have some 20K motors for the same price!!
So your right maybe I don't need to be that scared right now....but next year when 03's start getting chopped it may be slightly different!

Forgot to say - good luck with the sale mate - £15k from a dealer ain't too bad - but like you say £16k should easily be achievable - there is always something for everybody. I only took 1 phone call on my WRX out of 4 weeks advertising (Pistonheads, 1 week Autotrader, Scooby City) - and that was the guy who bought it! Doesn't matter if you don't get floods of calls - if you do - it's too cheap! Someone will buy it - just bide your time!
