I'm part ex'ing the missus car for a new in 2 weeks, just wondered if anyone fancied it for cheap run around.
Fiat Brava 1.9 Turbo Diesel SX75
1997 P reg
73k miles
MOT until september 2004
4 months tax (i think)
Some service history
decent condition for year (couple of scratches on front wing and boot lid)
Metalic blue
Dealer has offered me £1100, so offer me over this and its yours.

Any idea of what insurance group?
I'm looking for summat for my lad at 17 when he passes his test, but insurers won't look at him for owt above a group 6

It is a group 6 or 7 depending on which magazine you read.

Some more details:-
The car has electric windows, PAS, central locking and electric sunroof. The engine and turbo are perfect working order and there is no knocking or turbo smoke. The glow plugs and clutch slave slave cylinder were changed a few months ago. There is some service history, The first owner (company car) shows fiat dealer history, since we have had it (3 years) it has been either serviced at our local garage or by myself. An oil change is due, but included in the sale is the filter and 5 litres of good quality oil (I just haven't had time to do it over the past 2 weeks).
The bodywork is in fairly good condition, the worst damage is a scratch on the front O/S wing and a scuff on the tailgate. 2 of the tyres are only a six months old (5000miles), 1 tyre is brand new (bought it last weekend) and the other tyre has plenty of tread left. The interior is tidy, with no tears or signs of wearing on the seats. The stereo is the standard radio/cassette fiat fit, but it is easy to upgrade to an aftermarket unit (as i have), and i will through in the adaptor plate (i will sell you the pioneer head unit if required, £70).
I live in Quinton, Birmingham.
The car is being part exchanged 23rd December, so the sale has to be completed by then.
