2001 Lotus Elise S2 Sport Tourer
#1
2001 Lotus Elise S2 Sport Tourer
Registered July 2001 on a 'Y' plate, the car has covered 30,000 miles, and has a full main dealer service history (mostly from the Lotus factory service department at Hethel).
Its in Ice Blue (Metallic), and has matching blue leather seats.
As a Sport Tourer it benefits from the following factory options:
Aforementioned Leather Seats with lumber supports / Matching leather door checks
Carpets (Better sound proofing on motorway journeys! )
Passenger Footrest
Polished Aluminium Heather Controls / Gearknob / Handbrake Cover /
Window Winders
4 Speaker Stereo System with VDO CD headunit
Alcantara Bound Dashboard
Armourfend Sill/Arch Protection
Driving Lamps
Cross Drilled Brakes
Thatcham CAT One Alarm / Immobiliser
The car also has the optional factory fit Lotus Stainless Steel Sports exhaust, which endows the car with a sound more befitting its looks?
The brake pads have been uprated to Pagid RS4-2 (Blue) Pads, which were fitted in May 2003, when new rear tyres (Correct RE040's) were also fitted.
Finally an Autostyle Solutions arial grounding plate has been fitted, along with uprated pollen/dust filters.
It was placed in storage (With all proper precautions taken) between November 2002 and April 2003 to avoid running it on salted roads, and I bought a second car as transport.
The car came in at circa. £27k when new?. I'm looking for offers in the region of £16750 ovno, which is extremely competitive if you check used S2 prices on Autotrader...
Car can be viewed in the central belt of Scotland, or Aberdeen area...I'm at work until the 17th of December so anytime after then?
Contact me as per profile e-mail for pic's, or call on 07970 031297 (leave message).
Thanks for looking!
Ross.
(No px's please - I've already put a deposit down on my new car...)

Hi Ross,
What sort of life has the car had?. I don't mind if it has seen track days, as long as it has been properly treated.
At how many miles were the brakes/tyres done?
cheers
Bob.

Hi Jon,
I'm racing in next years Caterham Academy, so need to sell the Elise to pay for my race car...
I think £16750 is pretty cheap - But it's bad time to be selling a car, so I've had to take that into account...
I'm really going to miss her, and will probably buy a 135R at the end of the season when I flog the Caterham race car...
Cheers,
Ross.

Ross I just traded my 2001 December RT 135 and have to say your car sounds very good value at 16750, what you trading it for? Jon.

Hi Bob,
I'd like to think that it has been treated properly - I bought it around July/August 2002 from a Lotus employee...It used to be the UK Sales Managers car, and he only used it to travel on motorways to meetings etc...It had 16k miles on it at that time, and I've added 14k over the past 18 months or so - Again, mainly motorway, as I travel between Aberdeen and Stirling quite a lot...
I have used it on track - A few SIDC days / Top Marques days at Knockhill, but I've never even spun it / had any off track excursions...
The rear tyres were changed around 3-4000 miles ago, as were the brake pads...(Pagids RS4-2 pad's at a cost of £215 plus fitting/Super Dot 4 fluid), so there's plenty of tread / pad material left...
Drop me a line off list and I can send some pictures, if you like...?
Cheers,
Ross.
