ok ladies and gentleman here is my situation.
My lovely MY95 Import WRX let go on the way back from a meeting yesterday. Green Flag said that it's the head gasket/s. He also believes it's likely to need new heads. Car does not crank. Doesn't look like there is any compression. Engine had big end failure six months ago and engine rebuilt.
Frankly, I have really enjoyed the car but have learned (the hard way) that I can not really afford such a car after taking into account insurance, repairs and shocking petrol. Actually, I can afford it, only thing is i don't trust it. I was scared to floor it or really drive it after the big ends went the first time.
So I have the following for sale:
My95 in 406 Silver
Ran out of tax last week
six months MOT
N Plate
HKS mushroom filter
Ally bonnet
Bailey dump valve
Some samco hoses
17" ITC (Jap make) alloy wheels
4 almost new tyres (less than 5000 miles)
Sti 5 rear spoiler
Aftermarket adjustable shocks (not sure of make once again they were fitted in Japan)
front and rear strut braces
Massive 5" exhaust (think it's 5" but she always tells me it's more
)
Debadged front grill
Lightened flywheel (found this out during first rebuild)
Brand new (3000 miles) clutch
The bodywork is very very good as I paid to have front and rear bumpers repainted and the side skirts too. This was due to scuffs during transport from japan. There are two slight scratches on both the drivers door and drivers side rear door. Also a light scratch on the boot. The bonnet has also been resprayed since I have had the car.
The interior is in great condition. However the rear seats do not match the fronts. The rears are blue and black while the fronts are the grey and black style. This was because I have a set of Sparco torinos ready to fit (which will not be fitted)
I have numerous pictures of the car. truely is a lovely scoob. Money and Kade have seen it and I'm sure will confirm this is a genuine car.
The car has had a full cat 1 alarm fitted by Doctor Clifford from here. It also has a tracker that works as they called me yesterday as I was trailered off the m4. This has no subscription at the moment as I have not sent off payment.
Please, if you are interested drop me a mail and I will give you my number. I do not want hundreds of people telling me what 'they would do in this situation' or asking needless questions without having any intention of buying the car. Drop me a mail and I'll give you my number to call and discuss.
Target price is around 4K. Or, I am looking for a locust two seater kit car and/or a good presentable cheaper car (honda civic or such like)
Car is in South West London and I can arrange delivery/transport at cost.

Ouch!
My sympathy, I just had my engine let go on a 93WRX (big ends). Just a thought, if it doesnt crank its not likely to be head gaskets. Have you checked the obvious stuff before letting it go cheap!
Good luck whatever happens.

apologies excuse my none mechanical explanation. It's cranks but doesn't fire there is water in the oil filler cap. I'm 99% sure head gasket failure.
