Due to unforeseen circumstances , and lack of garage , see thread 284607, I am selling my UK 95 Turbo Impreza.
It was bought from Griff Sti in October , I haven't seen a better example before or since.
It is a white 95 turbo, excellent condition , now with 109k miles, recent oil change, scoobyecu, TSL full decat exhaust with TSl afterburner back box. Dealer history to 60k, garage history after that, 99 facelift front,uprated fuel pump, samco hoses, ITG Panel filter, 17" gold OZ prodrive alloys with Toyo proxes, Sony CD, drives well , MOT runs out end of Jan - I will sort this before sale , Tax until June04, Cat 1 immob/remote c/l , additional immobiliser, Gearbox barrier deadlock , bailey dumpvalve. Recent photos to follow.
I'm looking for 5k , or swap with interesting/less desireable to crims vehicle/ cash either way.

we talked about a price, i emailed you this morning to say i would pay it.
last night your email said, "let me talk to the wife and i will get back to you in a few days"
instead of leaving it, i told u this morning i wanted the car. i also told u in previous emails, i will travel whatever distance to get the right car
so then you get back to me, telling me you have gone and sold it.
now come on, is that fair?

Baz , the reason I was selling the car , as stated in another part of the forum , was because thieves have targetted it , Police told me this on Xmas Eve , a gang is in the area, they want Imprezas , they wanted mine , I have no garage.
Since then various unpleasant things have occurred involving people hanging around the street, driving past slowly etc.
I apologise if you feel hard done by , but my priority was to get shot , my wife and kids being my concern.
If I acted hastily I'm sorry , the car has gone , being replaced with something less desireable to the scum.
Again apologies for my less than honourable actions , I hope yu can understand that the circumstances have affected my judgement.
Can we now lay this to rest?

I understand what your saying mate, but at the same time you have to see my point and see how less than honourable your actions have been. I have searched non stop for a scooby, told you i would pay what you said in your email and then i said, i would increase my offer.
I was the only person interested in your motor, emailed you constantly sorting out a deal from the moment it went up on Scoobynet. You said i will get back to you after speaking to your wife - next thing its gone. You didnt even have the decency to email me and say look, someone local has offered me this - this is the situation.....
The car was for sale last night when we were emailing each other, yet now you say its away. How could the buyer get that money considering the banks are shut, take it he just had it lying around and came and paid for it this morning before i emailed you??
I offered to come down today, yes 400 mile drive with CASH to buy your car.
Is the car actually out of your hands now? If the gang is so dangerous, why would someone local want it knowing that??

Baz , if I had a garage I would not be selling it , this chap has a garage .
The fact of him having cash on New years day is none of your business.
I don't appreciate your emails telling me that you will make sure no-one on scoobynet will ever deal with me again, check out my thread , started on Xmas eve, would I really be so previous as to make such a thing up 1 week before advertising my car.

I bought this car from Griff STi a member of this forum , ask him if I am a time waster? I agreed a time and a place , we spoke on the phone, I drove over and paid him cash for the car.

Baz as a footnote , why don't you cut and paste all of the emails from start to finish and let anyone who's bothered put their opinions in. The last communication we had before this morining was me tell you that I MAY come up at some point, I did not make any agreement verbally or otherwise.
You could be spending this time more constructively , ie looking for another car.
If you feel so embittered I will be more than happy to stop by in my next trip and speak face to face with you.

What was the need to send an email saying this -

Your prob right mate, no one will be bothered. But for those that appreciate genuine and decent sellers - you are not.
My point was simple - it would have been nice to be told that someone else had offered on your car, atleast giving me the chance to sort the deal. I think everyone would agree, that isnt too much to ask. Just common decency.
