A big clear out of wheels/tyres from my garage is needed-

Set of four five spoke VW rims in good condition,
6.5 x 15 (Et 43) came off 16v Mk3 gti, 5 stud & should fit all 5 stud VW's

Tyres = 205/50/15 Goodyear Eagle NCT3
2 are worn, 2 are fine with approx 4-5mm

I really need 'em out the way so steal 'em off me for fifty quid!

The rest of it is in this pile- !!

Pirelli, P Zero Asimmetrico.

Two of- 225/50/ZR15 with approx 5mm tread

One of- 205/50/ZR15 new tyre = 7mm tread

Tyres from a 'real' 1973 911RS so what excellent patina!! (the other front had unrepairable sidewall puncture which is why I have only 3!!)

Also-

A set of 215/60/15 tyres

Two- Firestone Firehawk 700's new= 7mm tread

Two-Michelin Pilot HX 5mm tread.

These tyres are attached to a set of Porsche Teledial wheels in 7x15 so have em for free with the tyres.

Teledial wheels look like this-

Quite simply it all must go, so make me fair offers on what you want and its yours.

Based Nr Newbury/Reading Berks

Hi

I'm interested in the VW wheels How worn are the worn ones? My Girlfriends mark 2 got written off just before Christmas so now she's hoping to get a mark 16 valve or VR6.

Out of interest do you know if they fit 5 stud vauxhalls? (Carlton gsi)

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

the worn ones are indeed pretty worn, from memory i'd say 1-2mm left.

Not sure about vauxhall 5 stud fitment, but years back I used to use VW 4 stud wheels on Vauxhalls so may be they also share the same 5 stud pattern?

Anyway you know where my gaff is, you are more than welcome to come & have a look.

Ps of ya missis does go for a mk3 vr6 Golf, do budget on a suspension kit as the standard set up is woefull! esp after a 16v MK2 as its wallowy & nasty.

Eibach do a great kit on a reasonable budget, I had it on my Mk3 16v, its really good kit.

Unhappy

Hi

Well I'm waiting dor a call from the insurance to see what their revised offer is and what car she gets next is dependant on that so I don't want to mess you about but if you still have them when I get her a car then I know where you are.

I have already told her that the suspension will probably need looking at but the VR doesn't look as bad as the gti.

Thanks

Paul

Paul- no probs, just a thought tho do any of my Porsche tyres fit the Carlton??

Oh and I've got a very straight black 2 door '88 8v GTi thats been sat on the drive for ages needing a re-bore or new block, so if the 16v had good mechanicals & you can buy the wreckage for a song & you fancied having a project= 2 Golfs become one etc etc.

Andy- yip got it. Y will HM soon.

I don't think Porsche wheels do which is a shame

I can't really be ar5ed with another project I spent 7 months working on that one getting it sweet then 2 weeks after it was finished someone writes it off! I don't want to go through that again

Steve

My Mate has a set of Porka 944 wheels too but I'm sure from what he said about his adapters that they won't fit Shame because they would look quite trick

Paul how about somat like £80, i.e that works out at £20 per tyre? pretty good deal I feel for 2 new & 2 almost new boots...

Oh ref the VW wheels I've edited the advert as I wrote the wrong size down- Doh!

They are the proper 16v Mk3 size of 205/50/15- not 40 profile as dimwit here originally wrote.
