As the topic title says, this is the original moon watch, flight certified by NASA for all manned space missions, first watch worn on the moon.
Its Two years old, with all boxes, packaging, and papers.
It should be mint condition as its currently with Omega (should be back within a week) being fettled for a small repair (new winder, as it got a small chip on it) and service.
Selling as i have purchased another new limited edition Speedmaster Professional and would like to sell my original one to make way for a different watch.
Any interest at £950?

Its a manual, i think this is the correct link for my watch, but i may be wrong with regards to whether my watch has the 1861 or 1863 movement. They're basically the same though.
The bracelt is indeed s/s and has had a couple of links taken out of it which i have kept safely in the box.
Edit - Its got the 1861 movement, the 1863 is used for watches that have the see-through saphire crystal back.

Lofi, calm down before you get bitten, and you don't want to get bitten now.... do you sweetheart?
Shipping is an extra.... wait for it! £27
VAT and Import Duty are one and the same at....wait for it! £97
So at £660 delivered to you door is still a worth while saving.
*Nate*, wind that neck in son before you get slapped, and you don't want to get slapped now, do you petal?
They are still new watches - Why pay for a serial number nobody's ever gonna see?

Steady on chaps :-)
Whilstthey are available from the states cheaper, there are occurences of shall we say, less reputable dealers, exporting watches that are a little bit less the genuine. (A few of the big chains will refund fully without a receipt, hence people buy a genuine and take back a fake for full refund. the fakes have to go somewhere, Omega won't take them back...)
So, although the asking price is a little high IMO, it's not terrible for a watch with a known history and all boxes and papers. Plus you can hand over cash in person to inspect the watch, and batter, should the need arise, the seller if it's not upto scratch (which it wouldn't be!!)
So yes, it can be bought cheaper, but would you trust your hard earned on a purchase of this nature, to a yankee internet company?
Happy days, good luck selling, BTTT

The bark is always worse than the bite, darling ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
By the way VAT and import duty are not the same. Import duty is added (in the case of a watch from USA probably 4.5%) then the post office add their bit for collecting it on behalf of HMCE and then VAT is added to the total amount.
But you are right - still cheaper than the UK price

Current prices with reserve met (auctions not ended) for the same watch on Ebay UK
£745
£980
£799
£750
(Please note thats a speedmaster pro moonwatch, not an automatic much cheaper and lesser model like V45DSM has linked to above, lol, and mine has a serial number, box, and papers, lol, and isnt a fake)
So it seems my price was a little high, i'll let it go for £800 on here and if no takers off to Ebay it goes where it seems people at least just make bids and dont post incorrect rubbish links/information when they clearly dont know what they're talking about![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Any more comments breaking the For sale forum rules and i'll RTM and get them all deleted so please dont bother, ta.

American watch for $971 is a Speedmaster Automatic, which retails for £875 in this country.
The watch offered for sale is a Speedmaster Professional, which is rather more expensive.
Also, per the Omega website;
"OMEGA does not sell any watches on the Internet. Genuine OMEGA watches are sold exclusively through our worldwide network of authorized retailers."

The automatic sweep is the more expensive watch, and I might well be interested but only for £500, I currently have seamaster professional titanium which cost me £2000 and is worth about half that now. Omegas don't hold their value only Rolex's can pull that off.
But I hope you get what you want they are beautiful watches; just the servicing costs £300 every two years!! Mind you there’s no point servicing them unless they are loosing time.
But if you want me to email you off line about pricing or even an exchange as I fancy a change!
below is the watch I have except mine is imaculate. Box, authentication card, the lot

Nat
Thanks for the reply. Sorry it's got to be £750....
I have an option on another Speedmaster which is cheaper than yours but not boxed etc.,.. like yours is. I am prepared to pay a bit more for the box and papers bot not that much more. I have cash waiting.......
Cheers,
Robin

CTRnutter EndOfEra - Mines a manual as all Speedmaster Professionals are, the second hand sweeps, the automatic also has a sweeping second hand though. The automatic is a lot cheaper in the Speedmaster range. Only the new Broadarrow (which has a certified chronometer) automatic is more expensive.
Robin - drop me an email and we can sort out a sale then.. nuclearnat24*(nospam)*@hotmail.com without the *(nospam)* bit obviously.

Don't doubt you !! just funny how the ranges charge more for less like the fundamental difference between the speedmaster and the seamaster,
Are you planning on going to the moon then ??![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Just like I'm going deep sea exploring !!

No probs, I know exactly what you mean, the Speedmaster doesn't even have a date on it! You have to get the Motorsport special edition for that which has the chequered face. Also the Automatic comes in the smaller mid size case the only full size Automatic Speedmaster currently on sale is the Motorsport one again. Nope no intention of going to the moon lol.
Though I did wear my Seamastrer when I had diving lessons![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
