#1
BMW M3 Evolution Saloon (very rare)
96 N-Reg
57k miles
Boston Green Metallic
Black Leather
Full BMW Service History from new
Immaculate bodywork and excellent condition interior
Climate Control (AC)
BMW Business RDS stereo
CAT 1 alarm/immobiliser
M-Tech rear spoiler
Just had two new rear tyres and rear pads.
Currently at a BMW main dealer having a NEW VANOS SYSTEM fitted – this is the MAJOR buyer beware item on an Evo, and it will be brand new and fully warranted by BMW.
Three green bars on the service indicator (many thousands of miles to next service)
6 months MOT and Tax
So NO BILLS for a long time to come.
This is a serious drivers tool with mind blowing performance, excellent handling and a subtle, cruiser alter-ego. It is a spectacular example of the breed with no hidden history, no looming bills, and no nightmare VANOS problems, so buy with confidence.
As such I am not going to accept peanuts for it but will take a very reasonable £11,695 ono.
Pictures will follow in due course. Please post questions below or email me as per profile.

ok some questions for a BMW n00b
* What are the servicing costs like (period and cost roughly)?
* How much were the tyres a corner?
* What MPG are you managing on a motorway cruise?
* Does it have (I know I'm a wimp) traction control?
* Any joy on the photo's yet?

Cost varies depending on whether it is due an inspection 1,2 or an oil service, and the order goes ispection 1, oil service, inspection 2, oil service, inspection 1, oil service and so on... Last service was an inpection 2 (which is the expensive 500 quid one) but you have three services until you need another one of those. The rest are much more reasonable, especially if you use an independent specialist. Similar running costs to a Scoob but the service intervals are longer - they depend on how you drive and are calculated by the computer, expect about 10k miles in between iirc.
* How much were the tyres a corner?
I got rears for 130 quid each fitted (and these are the big 245 section ones - Michelin Pilot Sport 2s). Fronts are narrower at 225, so are cheaper, circa 100 quid. You can go cheaper if you want crap rubber, but that would be a crime on a car like this.
* What MPG are you managing on a motorway cruise?
Motorway mpg is amazing as the 6th gear is a cruising overdrive ratio (but still gives useful acceleration - I never need to change down to fifth). I get mid 30s on the motorway.
* Does it have (I know I'm a wimp) traction control?
No it doesn't (this didn't arrive until the new E46 model M3). But it is a very communicative handler and has lots of grip so it clings on well and lets you know clearly if you are reaching the limits. Its not scary, just treat it with respect in the wet. No worries in the dry. However, if you want to provoke oversteer, you can
* Any joy on the photo's yet?
Not yet, BMW are late delivering the VANOS unit so its in the garage until Tuesday...... sigh

Tractor, sounds like a nice one! Decent mileage spec etc. Pictures will help on here. You should try posting this one on the Trading Post on www.bm3w.co.uk. There are a few for sale on there and they are asking a lot of money for theirs. One poster is looking for an Evo for around the £11k mark.

Lol. I miss that car!! Most fun car I've ever had, although not the most practical.....
I like to do my research and am prepared to travel to find the right cars. My little secret
Just got this one back from BMW today and it is back to full health. I, however am 600 quid worse off, and that is after BMW contributed a grand! Ouch!
Seriously people, this is an absolutely stunning car, worth the buying price for the engine alone - an absolute beast! If you have never owned an M-Power car, you have to give them a go at least once.
Pictures should be up this Saturday if all goes to plan.
P.S. this is the only place I have this advertised at the moment. It will go up elsewhere soon, and for more money. Get it while you can! lol
