This car is a rare example of one of the highest spec Impreza’s to be built, Imported brand new by Park Lane with zero miles and has one previous owner. It has full UK Service history at Park lane or Prosport and has been maintained regardless of cost with regular oil changes in between services as appropriate. Receipts for all work on the car will be provided. The modifications have been carefully chosen to provide a very quick point to point car which is comfortable and practical for daily use yet very capable should you wish to take the car on a trackday outing. I am confident this is one of the best setup Impreza’s in the UK in terms of handling and all round usability. The car was winner of the fastest Subaru award for handling at TOTB 2002 and was 2nd overall for handling at the TOTB 2003 test day with a stock 270BHP engine spec. 0-60MPH Circa 4.0 seconds, ¼ mile 13.2 seconds with one attempt.

The car can be supplied with the livery as pictured or in the original plain Sonic Blue. I may be prepared to remove some of the uprated items should your budget not stretch to the full asking price. For example I could retain the Speedline wheels and sell the car with 7x17 MiM wheels installed. I could also retain the SECS and Gauges if required.

Purchasing this car gives you a well proven specification that has a large value in terms of parts and development/setup work. It is a very reluctant sale and will only be parted with if the offer matches the specification. Bodywork is in excellent condition with the usual front stone chips associated with mileage, the front bumper has some scratches and the OSF wing has a small chip on the wheel arch. The car was treated with Teflon based wax by Mark Underwood when I purchased so has been well protected. It is not concourse condition but is in excellent condition for the age/mileage and scrubs up nicely. The wheels are as new except for one small scratch on one wheel at the rim edge; you won’t see it unless you look for it.

Current Mileage is 64,600. The car was registered April 1999, I purchased June 2002.
Asking Price as listed £15,500

Please email john.felstead@btinternet.com if you are seriously interested or require further information.

I thought you'd keep it forever John

Whatever you're getting must be very, very tasty to be good enough to replace this !

Funnily enough I've been offered my own RA V Ltd back but at a lot more than you're asking for yours and the guy won't budge.

These don't come up for sale very often.

Good luck

Chris

Hi chaps. Thanks for the kind words. This is a properly sorted car and like Mellow i didnt think i would sell it. Chris knows the true value of putting a car like this together, his sold for £5K more than i am asking.

There are a few reasons why i am putting the car up for sale, and it is a very dificult decision. The plan is to cut down my expenses for a few months (and get a job, currently on an extended sabatical. ) and then look at getting either a Spec C, Type25 or WR1. I havnt decided which route to follow yet, that will depend on how the job situation resolves itself. So it will mean for a few months i will be potering about in something a little more subtle. But the outcome of that will mean i can try something diferent and see what i can make that into.

I beileve the price is realistic, i know that the cost of building a car to this spec is way above the asking price, but it's imposible to get someone to understand that when they are buying a car.

Hopefully someone apreciates that. I will be gutted to see it go but long term its the right thing for me to do based on my current circumstances. I will definately be back in a Subaru, there is nothing that can match it for performance/character/value IMHO.

Thanks for the compliments.

Somebody will be getting a very nice car here.

I am upset that you have to part company with it John. Like you say - a car like this doesn't just get thrown together. The parts on this car have been carefully selected and I agree it is probably one of the best handling subarus here in the UK. I myself have spent some time in the car (never driven it - don't worry ) and its stunning. Its a like my old P1 with all the nice bits left on - far more driver oriented.

I'm sure your departure from subaru will be a short one.
