I have a 1997 R reg 106 GTI with 38K on the clock.
It is going to be for sale in 6 weeks when my Cupra arrives...just wondered what a good asking price would be (or any offers on here? i appreciate the 6 wk wait might make offers slim on the ground)
The Pug is std apart from a 6 disc changer i fitted and will be just serviced and MOT when sold....it is in mint condition apart from a chip on the wing that needs "chips awaying"
Please ignore the normal SN rules and post any info good or bad on what you think it should be worth.

As a guide, our 98 S reg, with 68k, 16s, lowered, K&N, exhaust and very mint, has just sold for £5k.
It is an exceptional looking 106 though, and very quick as 106s go.
So i'd stick it in the trader for £4500.
