Thumbs up Audi A3 1.8 Turbo with pictures 'R' reg

Pictures added. The car could do with a wash as you will see. The white marks on the door are from the morning seagull bombing run.

As mentioned in the title it is an 'R' reg A3T. The car is in superb condition.

It has been serviced by Audi for it's life with the last service being done by AmD, who are an Audi specialist. The service book is complete. I have all the keys for the car (including the service key) and all the original sales information and receipts for the life of the car.

The car has covered almost 78,000 miles which means it is almost run-in by VAG engine standards.

The paint work is Ming Blue and in excellent condition with no stone chips.

The interior is full leather and unmarked. There are two sets of floor mats with the car. I have included a photo of the front seats.

All electrics are working. They include the standard electric windows and mirrors with upgrades to climate control and the Bose Concert System for the stereo.

The wheels are 18" Audi RSTT wheels. These and the tires (Goodyear Eagles) are near new.

The braking system (front and back) has been completely upgraded. The callipers have been changed for Audi TT callipers. The discs have been upgraded to EBC vented and grooved discs. The pads are EBC to match the discs. The stopping power is great. I've included a photo of the front disc / wheel and calliper. The rear is the same only with the calliper trailing the disc instead of leading.

The suspension is upgraded. The springs are Eibach sports springs and the shocks are Koni. The ride and steering are precise but not uncomfortably firm. This can be seen in the exhaust photo.

The exhaust is a full stainless sports exhaust. This can be seen in the above mentioned exhaust photo.

The ECU has been chipped by AmD. I have dyno charts to show 210+ torque and 200 hp. The torque profile for the curve is very flat with the power being present and uniform throughout the entire rev range. This makes the car easy yet extremely enjoyable to drive.

The entire set-up works very well and everything seems to compliment each other perfectly.

Let me know if you require any other information.

I am based in South London.

Funny that, because I remember test driving your Terzo.

I am interested in buying a 1.8T.
But as you were selling a Terzo just before Christmas, it seems odd to want to sell your replacement car so quickly. Unless its not a private sale, or theres something wrong with it? Just wanted to know the facts before arranging to test drive the car?

Not Policing the forum, just have my own interests at heart, so why so defensive?

Hello Greg,

Sorry if it was taken as defensive. Just avoiding a possible thread hijacking. You never know. Just protecting my interests.

I've never had a Terzo or even been in one so that is very funny. I've had an RA, STi and Type UK. Maybe it was the UK I sold late last year you are mixed up with. Silver one. You wouldn't have test driven it though. Only one person did. They weren't from ScoobyNet and they bought the car on the spot.

I'm selling for a number of reasons. I like cars and toys. This is my 38th. I change regularly because I can. I miss the extra 2 doors at the back more than I thought I would. I am going through the work permit process at the minute. Straight forward to get a Visa before Christmas but now circumstances have changed and I have to take the work permit route. If this becomes complicated I will have to leave the country for a little bit. Money in the bank is of more use in that situation.

It's a lovely car and I enjoy it. But there's more reasons for me not to have it right now than there are for me to have it.

Hopefully this answers your questions.

Still baffled by the Terzo thing. Definitely not me. I can send a scan of the V5 if you like. Definitely not a trader. Or you can phone me at work. http://www.dsswd.com

Regards,

Glen

Checked your coupe on PistonHeads. Nice motor. I had a 2.3 Quattro about 2.5 years ago. I've always liked the coupe shape. I reckon it's a timeless classic. The high waist line is smashing.

I doubt it but email me offline. You never know. Current circumstances say I really don't need a car but I can not control my impulse buy section in my brain.

Sincere apologies Dosenoffer,

I mixed you up with a guy selling a Terzo, I remember your silver UK one, it was on my "To buy" short list.

So once again sorry for questioning your honesty, and good luck with the sale, v nice car.

Greg.
