Default ###STI V4 BLACK WAGON FOR SALE###

I don`t want to sell it, but here goes,

Subaru Impreza STI Version 4 Black Wagon.

The car is a `97 (R reg.) Version 4 (face lift) Mica black STI wagon (estate) with all the STI spec. including; carbon fibre front strut brace, STI alloy intercooler, STI blueprinted engine (8000 rpm red line), red inlet manifold, STI red calliper 4-pot brakes, STI rear vented disc, STI red embossed bucket seats, STI quick shift gearbox, STI white dials (Large centre mounted rev-counter), pink STI grille badge, STI front wing emblems, STI alloy bonnet, STI large boot spoiler and STI large tail gate wing spoiler.

As Japanese import spec. the car benefits from electric folding mirrors, A/C and full climate control.

The engine received a full rebuild 12 months ago, with all original Subaru gaskets, seals and parts except for the performance items listed below.
The engine has done approx. 4500 miles since the rebuild and has only been run on Shell Optimax + Millers octane booster and Castrol RS fully synthetic (10-50) oil, changed after the first 1000 miles and at 2000 mile intervals since.

The car is producing 300.6 BHP with 253.3 lb/ft of torque on the 22/2/04.(I have the power graph), the car is boosting at 17 PSI (1.6 bar) which is well within safe limits, all at Scoobycity rolling road day. By far the best wagon there!!!

• Fully rebuilt V5 short motor (Brought from PAVLO)
• Light weight flywheel.
• New STI clutch.
• Brand new STI turbo.
• Performance S/steel up-pipe (Lagged)
• S/Steel de-cat down-pipe (Lagged)
• S/Steel de-cat centre section.
• S/Steel 4” diameter tail pipe.
• Induction kit.
• Samco hoses.
• Pro-drive suspension (Pro-drive springs with Bilstein dampers)
• 17” multi spoke alloys (nearly new Bridgestone VR rated sports tyres)
• Boost gauge

The front bumper is a version 5, (single fin beneath indicator) fitted with STI fog lamp covers, clear front indicators and colour coded brake vents. Clear side repeaters fitted to the wings. The rear lights are the rare white lens indicator type.

The car is fitted with a Thatcham approved Cat 1 alram/mobiliser.

The car is in A1 condition as the boys from Scoobycity can confirm, with no stone chips, pin dents etc.

I will take some decent picutres at the weekend and request someone post them for me.

Price £7995 ono

Joff and I spoke about price on this today, he wasn't sure what to put it up for. Its a good looking car that has had a few pounds spent on it in the last 18 months, all proper and no corners cut.
Do you think it should be more, if so, how much more ?

DBM - I will get some good pictures this weekend, but I do not know how to post them? Thank you for reply, and I think you are right, once people see the pictures it will sell quickly, arguably one of the nicest wagons I`ve ever seen, ask Jimmy Dell!!

Matt - You may be right, in light of the cars look, performance etc. but it is priced to sell, and it will when people view her! That is the asking price, I am still open to offers above that..... what do you reckon!!

Cool

Yes it's lovely - apart from the trail of drool I left on the bonnet.

Joff

If someone else hasn't offered yet, e-mail the pictures to me and I'll post them up for you. I did have some from the RR day but I accidently deleted them.

Thanks Jimmy, I will get some good pictures before the weekend and ask you can post them for me.
Glad you like the look, personally I prefer the wagons sleek looks, plus they are not so common, especially an STI and you can get the roof bars loaded with snow boards, boot full of gear, 4 of the lads in the car and still p*ss on a 328 coupe, believe it!

Hows things going with your motor? I would be keen to see some picks!

No problem, Joff. E-mail them as per my profile address and I'll post them up for you.

My wagon is fine (if a little dirty!), thanks. Can't find any pictures of it at the moment, but keep an eye on Scoobycity over the next couple of weeks as I've got a few bits and pieces to add which I'll be taking piccies of.

And back to the top for a really, really nice car.

It is cheap, STi4's are hovvering around 10-11k IMHO, and "good" STi5's are around 13-14.

May be a little less for a wagon, but UK spec's are going for £7500, and the STi is a hell of a different animal.

Where in the country are you?

I'm interested - can you email a picture to me.

Also who insures it for you and for how much?

DBM - Its an STI with extra`s, i.e. on the rollers 2 weeks ago running 300.6BHP, which was more than all the STI 7`s and the P1`s on the day, so you are right. I am begining to wonder if this is too cheap, maybe people think there may be something wrong with it? If so the 40-50 people (inc. the guy running the rollers) at the rolling road will confirm it is a faultless car?!

Gavin - I am in Norwich, and I will get some good day light pictures this weekend (I only decided to sell it on Tues) and ask Jimmy Dell to post them for me. When people can see how well it looks,(and drives) it should sell quickly. I pay £800 a year f/comp with A-plan, inc. the mods/wheels etc. listed.

General - How do you value something unusual like this? I have searched for other STI wagons for sale and have trouble finding any for sale, let alone prices!

I'm definately interested, I'm in Coventry but don't mind a bit of travel.

I was a little concerned about insurance costs but they don't seem too bad (how old are you and what no claims?)

Im 25 and pay about £1k with A Plan on an STi4.

Joff, I would look at STi4 saloon prices, and knock a bit off. Dont want to say too much, as there are interested buyers on the thread... At the end of the day, its every bit the same car as the saloon, just got a bigger boot! (obviously)

Send the pics and i'll host them.

Gavin - I will take some good pictures this weekend in the daylight and have them posted. I am sure we can meet somewhere if you are interested, but have a look at the pics first to see if yopu like the look.

Matt - Cheers buddy, you know me too well...

MB - A-plan was by far the cheapest quote I got, and I did try a lot of places, so I have stuck with them for nearly 2 years now. You are right it is exactly the same mechaniclay as saloon STI`s, just with a boot. I don`t want to enter the whole saloon vs wagon debate, thats down to personal taste, but I will say, and I hope you agree, the STI wagons are quite rare, I have only seen one other in my area.

Thanks for the offer to post my pic`s, as I keep saying I will get some sorted this weekend. Cheers.

Here's Joff's lovely wagon. Pictures give a good indication of how nice this car is, but it's even better in the metal.

Never has the phrase "First to see will buy" ever been so true.
