Default Porsche Carrera 3.2 For Sale

OK, I have been all round the houses with this car. Those that have been on here a while may remember it being up for sale before.

It's my second car and used for sunday / pleasure driving.

When I first got it, I wasn't sure I liked it and put it up for sale here. I had some enquiries from the people here, then decided to keep it and spend some more cash on it.

I am now selling the car becuase I have no spare time due to work and don't want it taking up space in the garage. I had plans of making the car like brand new and nearly got there.

It's a 1986 Carrera 3.2 with Carrera 2 wings. It has Tax and Mot, 89k miles, some history, electric sunroof, windows, seats (leather), mirrors. Private Plate, Cup Alloys.

It runs like a dream, starts everytime and is garaged everynight.

I recently added to the car, the following .....

Kenwood mp3/cd player + 6 stack, Infinity front and rear speakers, new tear drop mirrors, twin exit stainless exhaust, + centre straight thru section, RS rear bumper for twin exit, everything has been colour coded with the grand prix white. (thats about £3.5k's worth)

It's MOT runs out in April and it will need the following ...

1 tyre

the horn needs fixing (don't know whats happend to it :S)

Centre section of exhaust (i have bought the stainless replacement, but not got it fitted yet)

Lastly, the syncro has worn a bit in 3rd gear, so sometimes it pops out when decelerating. I never bothered fixing this as it doesn't do it unless u try to go too slow for 3rd gear.

Well, anyway, I am offering it cheaper on the internet to anyone that may want to do the work themselves, like I said, I really don't have the time to take it to garages etc. If it doesn't sell, I will have to get the car finished off somehow and will advertise it for about £14k.

It's offered for cash here for £12.5 ono.

Pictures attached below.

Regards
Andy

Additionally, was thinking of giving the Freelander to the missus to use and getting another daily driver.

Would still prefer cash, but may consider a p/x for a cheaper car.

Just a small update for you guys.

It's now in the garage having the MOT work done.
Failed on a couple of minor bits. 1 new tyre, centre section blowing (now getting a stainless replacement fitted) 1 wheel bearing and a bulb for an indicator.

Oh and as for the syncro problem, it turns out it was a linkage adjustment problem. This is getting done too.

So it's now offered with full years mot and no faults at all.

Anyone tempted by a stunning looking porker?

Am prepared to take a cheaper sporty car in as p/x. I given the missus my freelander and am going to use my bike more. I just need something to drive in the cold and rain. Still must have a bit of go in it. No diesels / slugs

Hi guys,

Just a small update on the car.
It now has 12 months MOT.

The gearbox linkage will be adjusted this week to prevent it doing the occasional jump out of 3rd gear. This then makes the car 100% perfect

Am getting a little desperate to sell it, so am open to sensible offers.

Thanks
Andy

This is a nice car! I have an 1973 911 with the same engine/box, and once the linkage is sorted (takes a bit of trial and error) it all works in a very Porsche way. these cars are very quick along the road, a blast through Wales chasing a good Scooby in the dry will have you (or them) looking at your tailpipe(s). Very simple and very effective car.
The best bit is it won't plummet in value like a Scooby, classic car insurance (mines £210), 30 mpg on unleaded, (except in Wales),and your girl friend/mistress/even wife will love it!
Downsides? Only the quirky heater....
911 (obviously bias and still smitten after 14 years with a 911, never selling it)

Thanks for the kind words 911.
My Classic insurance is £250 for the year fully comp with carole nash.

It's unbelievable how things go.
Yesterday I found my old Integrale Evo up for sale. I have regretted selling it for a long time.

So I am now looking for cash only sale ASAP, the remaining money will let me get this small business started.

Come on guys, this car at £12k thats about £3k cheaper than most standard Carrera's with this milage is going for. Mine has no rust at all. It's very very shiny

Like 911 said, wouldn't it be nice to own a car that doesn't go down in value?

trying not to sound like a sales assistant, BUT, the 3.2's are going UP. The last incarnation of the classic 911, the (good) 3.2's are appreciating now, the colour is right, and modified examples are not a negative.
The Owners club is really good and well worth it, and the cars are boringly reliable.

Just get in and drive, oh yes!

Sorry to all, 911

Well it's not shaped like a banana!

You are offering £8k?
No chance

This car is a give away at £10500. Couple RHD go for much more than LHD or Targas.
