road angel speed camera detector and laser alert module.
cheapest I've seen on the net is £360 here:
http://www.speed-detectors.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=30&products_id=85
its due for my first update after a year of saving my license, so your options are:
1/ I will pay the £99 and put a lifetime subscription on it and sell it for £320
2/ I will put 2 years on @ £79 and sell for £300
3/ I will put another year on @ £49 and sell for £250
4/ I will pay nothing and you can choose what subsciption you want to pay when you get it then sell for £200
YOU DECIDE.
Just got my letter through from ROAD ANGEL dated 17th march, so have to update soon.
The unit is currently hardwired into the back of my cigarette lighter, so no unsightly cables hanging around anywhere, and I will unhook the cable so you can do the same.
I have the unit fitted to my MY99 UK CLASSIC TURBO. As you can see, it fits rather neatly into the dash glove compartment, and still works fine. Most of the time I drive around with the door closed on the compartment as I now know what the alert sounds mean, and act accordingly. It's only when I'm driving in an unfamiliar area that I open the cover and put the ROAD ANGEL in view, so I can see for myself what is coming up, and keep an eye on my actual speed.

What you see when your driving, just the laser alert module helping you out!

and finally, what you see with the box open and the road angel in full view:

thanks,
chris.

Hi andy, after seeing sillysi's setup on sunday, I want one!
With the sale of this and my pda, and a little on top, I will never get lost again, and also be able to find where the nearest mcdonalds is to where I am!

hi midlife, hows it going m8?
sillysi has a compaq ipaq 2210 with gps and tom tom navigation.
that is the bit that I want, the navigation, as we're always getting lost on our family trips out!
cars not changed much since I got it, just tyres, petrol and servicing!![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

micka, you can have it for £230 cash, and you pay the postage.
that would be without any additional updates, and you would have to get the licence to suit you.

Not best of piccies but it shows roughly where things fit...

The only bit you lose out on with the road angel providing the gps for the ipaq AFAIR is the gps software doesn't show the no. of satellite hookups - it's shown on the TTN screen if you're that desperate to know

cheers apple, I was aware of the hookup option between the ipaq and the road angel.
my trouble is I already have a sony clie, which I have now sold, and I cant afford to get a new pda and keep the road angel.
So the road angel has to go before I can get a new pda/tomtom/gps reciever.
Thanks anyway,
chris.

does it pick up the bizzies hiding with their mobile radar detectors in their white vans?
Let me know if £200 is any good to you?

I've had a news letter from Snooper regarding buying Snoopers from Ebay. If you buy from Ebay then they will be treated as second hand and the warranty will be void.
There is also a lot of Road Angels and Snoopers being stolen and sold in the press. Units registered as stolen will be wiped and made useless the moment they are updated online.
Cheers
Richard

richard, how come you didnt respond to my PM? I was just wondering why you had posted on my "for sale" thread, as I hadn't seen your original post before the mods took it off!
If you have stuff to sell, then do it the proper way mate, which means paying money to subcribe to that part of scoobynet.
Thread hijacking is a bit naughty, ingnoring PM's is just plain rude.
Nuff said on the subject I think, and thanks for the info about stolen road angels getting no updates.![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks andy for the endorsement, and a btt for this kocha (sp?) ROAD ANGEL.
