Default TEK1 ECU

As it says, TEK1 ecu available outright or exchange, originally from Power Engineering. I've also got the before & after rr graphs vs an 802 ecu.

According to PE, slightly enhanced version of 800/801 which holds peak boost for an extra 1000rpm. Looking for £150 outright, £100 exchange.

Reasonable gains, Boost wont tail off after 5krpm, and will still boost more or less upto the redline, cures the slight hesitation problem around 3krpm on std AE802 ECU's

and I think runs marginally leaner (still within safe parameters) than AE802

I have an AE800 on a standard MY99 would this make lots of difference?
Also does it allow a discount on a remap at a later date?

The Tek1 and AE800 are virtually identical, so you will see little gain

Only those with Ae802 ecus will see a gain

Not sure about the license tho

Sonic is absolutely right about performance. I checked with PE and they quoted £350 + rolling road and VAT for upgrade, ie they consider licence paid. Not sure about other ecutek mappers, though.

Thanks for the info, looking at something like a TEK 2 or equivalent and cosidering the PPP ecu available. Only thing is I want to keep the car relatively standard with just a middle CAT removal and hoses to start.
May be an option as a spare ecu with a view to remap in the near future.
