Talking 17" Silver Alloys from MY00 for sale

The original wheels from my model year 2000 Subaru Impreza Turbo. I used them only for about 8000 miles, until I bought a gold set. I've now sold the car (with the gold alloys) and these original silver alloys are just taking up space in my garage!

The alloys are in very good condition - not perfect (some minor scuffs), but nothing significant.

I think they will fit older cars (e.g. to replace the original 16" alloys), but not 100% sure. Here are the other measurements. They are 8" deep (measured from outside to inside if they were fitted to a car). There are 5 bolts, and the gap between each bolt is about 58mm, measured centre to centre.

For sale on eBay (currently bidding at £82 - a steal!)

Ebay link removed as it against Scoobynet policy

Unless I am very much mistaken, those are 16", not 17" alloys

No Classic apart from the P1 and RB5 ever came with 17s as standard iirc...

First question: They are definitely 17" alloys. They were standard on all MY00 onwards Scoobys (i.e. the last generation before the new bug-eyed one). (I know the pre 2000 Scoobys have 16")

Second question: They are for sale on eBay (i.e. up for auction). There isn't a fixed price - if you'd like them, log on to eBay and place a bid. If no-one beats your price, you have bought them.

Donutman - OK, fully prepared to accept that I'm not a leading authority on Impreza's. If you believe there were MY00+ cars with 16" alloys, I'm sure you may be right.

However, I can 100% guarantee that I bought this car from new (albeit Imported from Holland in UK spec) with 17" silver alloys as pictured. It says so in the manual, and I've checked with a tape measure...

You're welcome to come to Colchester with a tape measure if you really want to be sure!!!!

You guys have got me doubting now!!!

The diameter is measured right to the outside of the alloys, yes? (obviously excluding the tyre). It really is 17" (and I'm sure I've seen this in the manual). I'll check again later. Gotta go out now but will check back this afternoon.

The wheel size is measured by the tyre it takes. There is a 0.5" lip which the tyre sits behind. They are 16" wheels!!! (trust me I've had them!)

Red face Ooppss!

Gentlemen - my thanks to you all. It appears they are 16" after all. I can't find the manual but having measured the alloys v.s. tyres on my new car (BMW family carrier, I confess - but I sure miss the Scooby), I realise that the alloy diameter is indeed an inch or so more than the size marked on the tyres.

Also just goes to show I didn't drive the Scooby enough - I went through 1.5 sets of tyres, but one of the sets were the ones on the gold alloy+tyre sets I bought from the dealer (original wheels from the pre-upgraded P1s). I never needed to buy just tyres so I never realised they weren't 17" until now!

Thanks again - I'm off to sort out the mess on eBay!
