Default What is a 1998 S reg Turbo worth, please?

Unfortunately I'm selling my first Subaru, it's a met green turbo saloon, 98 S Plate, completely standard UK car, no mods, no track days, "one of the best full service histories" my dealer has "ever seen".

Gold 16" speedlines, immaculate interior, almost immaculate exterior (few stone chips and two slight marks where people have done me in car parks.)

Just done 52,000 miles... Not really sure what I can ask for it, I've researched the other ads, but very few, in fact none that I saw, are for completely standard cars.

Any "ballpark" figures would be appreicated!

Thanks a lot....

I sold my MY98 last oct for £8500, so I reckon your looking around 8k, not being rude, but dont fanny around putting it on here as most people on here have Scoobies, stick it on autotrader I sold mine on the first call. Failing that EBay.

Good Luck

I know that Parkers Price Ride, ahem, I mean guide, is nothing like realistic, but you must remember that most people use it when buying a car, and your car is vastly underpriced....£6500 @ 60,000 miles

I'd say a fair ask is £8k allowing for a few hundred haggling.

I'm hoping this appeals to people, eh? Never, ever been touched, standard right down to the exhaust, a friend of mine had it four years and I've had it a year, and neither of us are particularly into styling and modifying....

Oh yeah, it's still has the extended Subaru warranty.....

I think there is no harm in advertising here.

Lots of people would rather buy a car from an owners club as you expect it to have been treated with a little more care/attention than average.

When I am ready to get my turbo (later this year), I hope to find it on this site.

I think timing is a major factor too.

Good luck.

Thanks a lot, I'm unsure how to price it, really, how much is the extended warranty likely to add to the value? I'm not desperate to sell it, but as you say, timing is important, so if renewable warranty expires early september, will it make a real difference in value by selling it now rather than in a month? I doubt it, but....

Default Waranties...

...waranties aren't worth nearly as much as the confidence you can give the potential buyer that he/she won't have to claim against it ! Personally I would be more interested in the service history (esp who) and the overall condition of the car (no repairs, spotless paintwork etc). If confident it's a geniune car (which it sounds as if it is) I'd probably get it checked over with one of the AA/RAC inspections (although not everyone thinks they're worth doing).

Good luck!

Pongo, if you don't mind me asking what did you get for your car in the end? How many buttons? Was it a high miler?
