Default typical.....

Ive had my discs and pads changed today, I inspected them myself they were absolutely fecked.. (fronts, MY01 WRX).

When I picked up the car I was given the old discs and the old pads back.

"There is nothin wrong with them." said the technician.

"What did you feckin change them for then." I said.

"Coz you told me to." he said...

So anyone want them, pads have 5-6mm of meat left on them, and the discs are not cracked or warped, but do have signs of wear.

Maybe good to destroy them on a track day.

Dont want any money for them, and dont want to post them, so collection only.

Walks off head down: swearing mumbling waste money why me kick cat...

Yoza

If you come to the NBO you would at least get your Optimax money covered if you sell them

Hmmmmm.

Why move to the for sale section ?

They are not for SALE, they are for FREE....

Or in the bin.

Whilst on the subject, although I wont get much feedback in the wrong forum, but anyway.

I think I did well at £103 all in, for a set of Mintex pads and discs, fitted plus VAT.

Much cheapness I thought.

I doubt it, whithout changing the callipers, discs on earlier cars are smaller

Yoza, I have a set or two you can have too, if you fancy making summit out of numerous part worn discs

Maybe we could just weigh them in, getting a good rate at the moment. Six months ago I was getting £20 a car, pointless really, but now Im getting £60-70 a car, the price of scrap has rocketed dont know why?

Japan has cornered the world steel market. Corus (who we all now buy steel from) are paying high prices coz Japan are dictating them.

Steel is set to rise again in September by 12% and another 14% in March 05. Since the "buy out" steel will have risen by 37% in March 05.

Keep hold of your cars Yoz, you'll make a killin

Hey Yoza,
Which Mintex discs and pads did you get fitted for that price and where was it? Sounds like a good deal to me.

A bit of confusion over the brand names.

They were not Mintex.

The old parts were in the boot in a Mintex bag, but upon closer inspection the discs were Bradi, and the pads were Lucas GDB3131.

I got a good deal because my mate owns the garage, he fitted them for his dinner, ' Fish, Chips & peas ', and I got the parts at cost.

On the pad box it says, Subaru 01-on....Nissan 200 SX 00-on.

As for keeping hold of my cars, they are not mine.

As for why Im not on my way to Lightwater Valley..!

I have a 1530 appointment at a family pre-match warm up BBQ.

" But Sam, ( My other half, female not male) its the NBO."

" I dont care, your going to my parents house for the BBQ and thats It."

Damn, Yoza, good job we didnt wait any longer for you, otherwise it would have ended up being the Burtonwood Small One

As for the pads, I got some exactly the same, 22 quid from my next door neighbour
