For sale,

a tosh 4090 XCDT laptop in need of some TLC.

Its been hanging round here for ages and I really have no need of it.

It has:

400 MHZ P2 CPU
64 MB RAM
~4 GB HDD
CD ROM & Floppy
Parralel, serial etc etc including infra red
Large screen (bigger than the normal CDT screen)

Also throwing in a pcmcia ethernet card.

HOWEVER IT DOES HAVE FAULTS

The battary is as dead as a dodo.
The modem clip needs replacing (trivial if your good with screwdriver)
The power lead. It has a wonky connection, ie it has to be held a certain way to power on. Itt just needs someone good with a soldering iron.

Any sensible offer gets it.

Dont anyone be put off by the: This is a really common faults on Tosh, you get a dry joint on the board the pins (2 from memory) lift away from the board and thus break contact. I've done the repair myself quite a few times, and I would say it would take about 15 mins max, you need a soldering iron and a few screw drivers.
