I'll be honest with you mate and say that it's not really suitable, it's very accurate and powerful but not as powerful as a 12ftlb rifle which is what you should use for long range vermin control to get a nice clean kill.
However put another way, at close range with a headshot things would be messy....it rips cans apart etc etc

Thankyou for your misleading and unhelpfull post crowt123 please get your facts right before slating my sale.
This is NOT a cheap plastic airsoft BB gun, it is infact a Colt endorsed semi auto steel .177 air pistol with a rifled barrel with a muzzle velocity of ~350fps.
These retail online for around £160 and here is an example link

crow - LOL
the pistol that's being sold is a Umarex - they are not £35 plastic ****ters as you tried to point out. Ive got the Berretta version, Ideal for home defence - ( when the burglar rubs the 8 pellets off his face that you just unloaded in about 2 sceonds, you **** him squarley over the head with the empty gun ) - i,e, its all over very quickly
They are heavy bits of kit, and very well made. Some one told me that if you shorten the spring (Part No 71 in the user manual ) acting on firing pin within the valve body this will in turn reduce the force that the firing pin needs to exert to open the gas valve, the result of this is a longer burst of gas from the cylinder.
You can over-fettle them though, shorten the spring too much and it will empty the cylinder in one shot, the bulk of the gas will escape after the pellet has left the barrell, and the pistol will turn to a lump of ice as the discharge of gas will freeze it up.
Apparently, the happy medium is to empty the gas cylinder in about 8 shots. So when you bear in mind as standard they reckon on about 40-50 shots @ 3 ftlb's, tailing off to an silent fart at about 65-70 shots, a full tank of gas over 8 shots is going some.

Well the next hobby is twofold, part one is getting a wife so thats not going to be cheap
and part two is that I have just sold the STi5 and there is a Holden with my name on it somewhere on a ferry from Australia, so that won't be cheap either, hence need cash
You are right about the pistols, they are ace, I still have a 6" competition CP88 which I will never sell

However I would consider selling my virtually brand new Russian AK74 that has been converted into a .177 CO2 semi auto rifle, would look good above the fireplace and is accepted at most major banks and building societies !
£295 NO OFFERS
(as you can see I do enjoy a bit of shooting)
