Default Lateral Rad @ Fmic

As above brand new. You have to remove your Air con to fit this but there is no cutting of the front bumper required. It cost £1400 brand new. included in this kit is 2 spal fans, alloy rad and a very large i/c for classic impreza.

£1250 ono.

What a great bit of kit!
So neat and tidy. Pity I had to do my head gaskets (cost a bit) or this would be mine.
Very original. Good luck.

having said that, has anyone tried?

reason i say is because new age bumpers are different shape so normal fmics redesigned to fit in lower mouth, but these fit behind the bumper so there is a chance still.

Adam, I think it will m8 because basically there is same room behind slam panel as in a classic,Top brackets may need adjusting for new age but it should go in.

So in theory this 'should' go in then?

Do I still have to remove aircon rad as is this where the new intercooler goes or?

I would make my own pipework....

I'm pretty sure you would still have to remove your air con.

lol,

slight difference between this and the pace.

My car was used to develop the pace and was the first to be mapped with it in place.

Bob Rawle was not impressed in terms of how much ignition could be taken, so I installed some gauges.

It didn't seem to produce the performance of the likes of the HKS and the APS which people were then fitting.

I then used an HKS core on the dyno, and in terms of inlet and outlet temps, the lateral FMIC being sold int his thead literally blew it totally out of the water.

to only have temps 4 celsius up on atmospheric in a confined room with an engine producing 550 bhp @ 2 bar but more crucially with only a non shrouded fan generating air flow over it is quite simply incredible performance for an intercooler.

The design of the Lateral unit here seems really good, compact and free of massive cutting. If you could engineer with a reversed inlet manifold, those tubes would be short!
Pity it is so expensive.

Good luck with your sale, top gear!

Just wondering, as this looks cool and opinion says it works very well ... why does the air con have to go - is the aircon rad in the way?

So it's cut the bumper or lose air con rad ...

Couldn't the air con rad be moved into bumper space with a little cutting?

Hmm bit of a tough choice .. I like me aircon, and I don't wanna cut me bumper to shreds!

The aircon rad could be relocated to where an APS intercooler would sit so I dont see a problem

LMFAO if you think this has anything to do with PACE..

PSML custom made for Lateral by a Specialist.. Kinda like a company such as primary designs are for exhasusts.. (IE the Dogs Bollocks)

Top for a decent intercooler..

Infact Chris.. Mail me with what parts you want.. std engine???
