Got to be a 5 door (kids junk, dog, etc). Prefer WRX (Sti3 or 2 maybe?) or good spec UK model (with air con). Cash waiting for best one on condition/age/miles/spec. Anyone had a crappy trade-in offer they want bettered maybe? This is for personal use - I'm not in the trade or looking to make a quick buck by selling on. Looking for an enthusiast-owned, well-maintained good spec car I can enjoy and cherish! Fed up with looking at some of the dogs on offer from dealers, many of whom don't seem to know what they are talking about half the time.

Location SW, Bristol area, but will travel to look. Cheers.

I'm also looking for a 5 door (UK spec, WRX or STi), but slightly newer eg 1-2 years old (and more expensive obviously)

Cash waiting, but prepared to wait a few months if someone is trading up etc

Based Hants/Berks

No probs about the hijacking Stephen. It's nice to know I'm not alone whilst looking, even if we are in marginally different leagues :-)

Good luck in your search. I'll pass on to you the details of any I've found which look good but are a tad too expensive for me. And, as the poorer party here, I'd be humbly grateful for details of any good ones you find but which are ever so slightly beneath you :-) Cheers.

My 5 door silver WRX is up for sale.
It is immaculate and I have owned it since last July.
It has all the usual WRX bits i.e climate control, electric sunroof, 16" wheels, decent seats etc.
It also has a Sony Radio/cassette with 10 CD auto changer.
At the last service it has a Ramair filter fitted but other than that the engine is standard. I have resisted the urge to remove the speed limiter so it will only do an indicated 120mph!!!!
Total mileage is 48,000 with a full service history since it has been in the UK.
It has a UK mph clock fitted and i have kept the original KPH clock to confirm the total mileage.
I am based in Mid Wales but could e-mail some photos to anyone who is interested in it.
The asking price is £13750.

Unclebob,

Am I correct in thinking that it's your Gravel Express that you are offering for sale? If I am, it seems very generous of you to offer it for only £14,750, when a similar vehicle with no miles on can be had from A&F for only £13,000 (music and wheels - and SVA, etc - notwithstanding). And how come you say it is "racing green" when only the top half is?

If I'm guessing wrong, and it's a totally different car you are offering, please slag me off unremittingly for being so presumptuous.

Cheers,

Bruce

it is, or rather was a gravel express...
but please read on....

I have SVA'd the vehicle including speedo conversion, fuel filler cap and decent fog light conversion. (£500)

I have fitted £600 quids worth of ICE

I have fitted gold 16" alloys (17" ers suck IMHO)£350

The car has had turbo rear spoiler sprayed n fitted and bull bars etc removed. It also has UK spec rear spoiler/ bumper. COST £750

It cost £300 quid to go n get her....

AND THE CAR COST ME 15500 - im pissed about the fall in prices...

BOTTOM LINE - dont buy it if you dont want to - but at 21 grand for a UK motor im sure it'll sell - I LOVE it and aint gonna sell for too much of a loss!

SOME GIT NICKED IT AND NOW THE INSURERS WONT PAY UP!

Bob,

Re-reading my posting, maybe I should have dotted a few smiley's around. It was meant to be at least semi tongue-in-cheek, even if it didn't come across that way. Sorry for that. I appreciate that the prices quoted in Irish websites are somewhat less than what it costs to get a car on the road here. But as far as the zero miles is concerned, I was just going by what Art said to me.

Personally, I have had conflicting stories from various people about A&F. You seem to be a happy customer, so I'm pleased for you. Some others I've spoken (or emailed) to aren't so happy.

And (smiley goes here!) if you LOVE it so much, why are you selling it? Sorry, but it's got to be the obvious question.

Cheers,

Bruce
