Why not charge for the classified adds, Charge say £10.00 per entry (it would probably cost more in a local paper or Exchange and Mart)
Assume 5 adverts per day = £50.00
= £350.00 per week
= £18,200 per year

Costs Covered!!

PS I'd be interested in advertising my company on the BBS but £2k is too much to risk when I have no idea what the return might be.
