Thanks guys
have someone coming tonight but they have a car to sell 1st so will let you know
Doing 400 miles a week now so the fuel bill is a bit much
also forgot to say the car was rarely thrashed and was warmed up and cooled down before and after boost
the only time it was driven properly was when the missus and the wee lad were not in the car lol
any inspection welcome

Ayc pump has slight leak if i replace i will be asking £9500
basically cost of refurbed pump added to price or i will negotiate with ecu without replacing pump leaving it 330bhp/297lb torque
Been asked to travel to england to show car
due to recent evo car jackings would only do an airport pickup if required
Had plenty potential test pilots phoning but mentioning an insurance cover note to test drive seems to put them off

At the end of the day how many people want to go and pay for extra insurance to test drive a car? It could be a lemon for all they know. (Not saying it is just stating a fact)

If i was selling a car I'd go one step further and ban all test drives except those done by AA, RAC etc.

Good luck with the sale for a cheap car. Stick it in top Marques and it'll fly.

Then chances are it would take a long time to sell

Brent, can't really get a reasonable quote for insurance, so unfortunately won't be able to purchase. Although I've seen and been in this car and it's truely a bargain for someone and in very good condition. If I could have found reasonable insurance it would be sitting in my drive right now!
BTTT mate and good luck with the sale.

Thanks m8 hope you get the beemer sold as well
back to the test drive scenario
[scenario1] every boy racer[apologies to any boy racers not saying you cant drive but a jump of 1 litre and a turbo takes a while to adjust to] under the sun wants a go smashes it refuses to pay
[Scenario 2] get it robbed as has happened before read the mlr car jackings all the rage these days[beware when selling a decent motor!]
[scenario 3] someone that is serious either comes along with the insurance or the cash that way both parties know its serious and the test drive is on the basis of you bend it you buy it
had cheeky offers for the car but would rather keep it than give it away for someone to make £1-2k of my back
thanks for the constructive critiscism lads

Just tried Norwich Union Direct - £745 - with £420 excess. That is Angus District of scotland.

31 with 13 years no claims - clean licence.

Although that is also 300 more than my Subaru.

If dealer offers enough for my motor this weekend I will be in touch shortly.

I found an Evo VIII cheaper to insure than en Evo V... probably the fact the V looks about a million times better!!

It'll go... probably your location that's making it hard to sell

Yeah group 20 and an import not the easiest to insure unless you got at least 6-8 years no claims and previous sports car history
i am 29 paying £750 fully comp but have full no-claims
MLR members get a 5/10% discount from pace ward
i remember b4 i had a wrx wagon some drugged up chav broke rear windscreen to nick a broken dyson i was taking to get fixed my company paid up but cancelled policy after that as the glass was £1400 from japan as it wasnt the same tint as Uk spec

Not a bad quote but the mileage thing they will check with the MOT's you might get away with more than 3k the 1st year
