ScoobyL, The springs are my mates (STi8) I have bog standard STi7 and we are both convinced that the grip and ride is better in mine than his with pro-D springs. He has PPP so maybe that exlpains the problem (more power than suspension can handle). He is having fitted today new suspension with the adjustable control in the car (I think 'tine' make?).
Phillip, Seems like I won't get the springs home til' next Thursday night as I work in Wolves with the guy that owns the them. If you can wait 'til then they are yours.
Cheers
Andy

I'm not having that an STi7 (Standard) handles better than a PPP'd STi8 on Prodrive springs.
You cant be driving it right, my mates MY01 with 300 BHP handles like its on rails with 18's and Prodrive springs. The body roll on my equally powerfull MY01 with standard springs was awfull compared to it.
It all comes down to how the driver perceives what feels good and what doesnt, yes the Prodrive units are firmer but not as bad as Eibachs and are way better than OEM.

All I can say Zip is that we have driven each others cars a few times on my 'private airfield', achieving as close as possible the same revs and speed at certain points and we both agree that his car had poorer handling qualities!
I guess we agree to dis-agree
Or maybe we just dis-agree!

Got to say my STi8 doesn't handle as well as my MY00 classic.
Following on from tiggers thread in Suspension I'm going to get my rear top mounts replaced for something firmer to see if that cures the problem, but I can see why your mate is so fed up that he is replacing the entire suspension.
Let me know how he gets on.

Philip, will do, should have them home next Thursday if you want to pick them up from Hertford. They are red not pink.
Andy, I think my classic MY00 UK Turbo handled better than my MY02 STi7 does. I think if I didn't already have Scoob experience then I would be more than happy, but I do, so I am only really luke warm about the new car. I did no mods on the old car but really need to mod this one to be 'happy' with it!

Couldn't agree more.
BTW, just spoke with Scoobyclinic. They have been in touch with Prodrive who acknowledge there is a problem with these cars - but reckon it is sorted out with their uprated springs. So, we buy a car with suspension they designed and then have to fork out another £400 to fix a problem they created. And other people with the problem reckon that still doesn't fix it. Are Prodrive really all they're cracked up to be? Don't think so...
