How do you get 90mph from second gear? Has the rev-limit been raised?
Have you got Dyno results available to prove that the car actually produces over 300bhp?
What make and model of turbocharger is fitted and at what boost is the power quoted? How much affect has this had on the lag?
Is the car an ex-competition car?
I may be wrong, but wouldn't a full rollcage make a rear strutbrace redundant?
Are you a professional car dealer/trader/importer?

Turbocharger - A big *******!!!!! Not much effect on lag. Engine is lightened and balanced.

Hmmm,
my UK car has UK gearing, and at 7,000 rpm is travelling not much more than an indicated 60mph, perhaps 65 at a push if I left until the rev limiter kicked in.
Allowing for an extra 1,000 rpm, then I would say it might be able to get to 70 (or a little bit more) in 2nd gear, which is some way short of 90mph.
However, anything is possible, but I wouldn't want to drive a car with such tall gearing around town, as you would be stuck in 1st and 2nd gear most of the time!

To John I hear what you say.But this impreza has been highly modefide in japan. The front diff was a lsd lock up.Which made it very intresting to drive. With the uk gear box and the engine being so free reving due to the lightning and balancing it does not like high gears at low speeds. But the breadknife drives it every day and allways walks away from it with a smile on her face. And me to. <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:<HR>Originally posted by JohnS:

Sounds like a nice car for the money. But if you're implying by your nickname that the car was marked Grade A at a Japanese auction, then the A (usually) stands for accident damaged. Auction grades are (usually) 1 to 5, with 5 being the best.
