What is it like to get in and out of and is there any rear space ? my mother in law is looking for car to replace her prelude, she likes coupes but has to carry grandparents etc round and the prelude is about the limit of their flexibility, so anything worse she couldn't consider.

I thought maybe last night's top gear might generate some interest.
200SX is a great car for the money. Not quite as fast as a scooby, but more rear wheel drive fun ;-) Plus, it's a great long distance cruiser - very comfy leather seats, great stereo etc.
Cheers,
Andy

andy,
i hope youv'e done a few miles in a scoob and liked it cos i swapped a 92 220 bhp 200sx for a brand new scoob and am not impressed with it as much as the niss ,it was so much more smoother ,quieter, faster and economicle and fun-rwd but the scoob is more stable and safer for the little uns in the back, i'd be interested in your opinion after a couple of months in the scoob.
hope you get on with scooby and sell the niss ok, had to give mine away for 4k nobody wanted it, i was bloody robbed!!!
good luck paul

Sheridan,
I find it OK for getting in and out of - I'm 31 BTW. My father, who's nearly 60, finds it a bit of a struggle. It is quite low down.
Not much room in the back, although I have had 4 in the car on a few occasions. It does mean I have to put the driver's seat further forward than I'd like tho'. Can't compare it to a Prelude - I've never been in one. I wouldn't have thought the Prelude was exactly roomy!
Paul,
I've always fancied a scoob, and with the import market now I can afford a new one - my new scooby is costing less than I paid for the 200sx less than 2 years ago! I took a lengthy test drive in the scoob and was impressed by the performance, but as you say it's more noisy and less comfortable than the 200sx. I will find it useful having 4 doors and a bigger boot tho'. As for RWD, it's great in the dry, but a bit twitchy in the wet, and a nightmare in the snow (I live in Scotland!), so I'm looking forward to having 4WD. I certainly hope I'm not going to be disappointed in the scoob - I'll post my findings in a few months (don't get the car til May).
Rannoch,
You could be right! Although I don't really understand the age thing. Maybe the younger drivers bruoght up on FWD hot-hatches don't appreciate a proper RWD sports car!
Cheers,
Andy

One of my last cars was the 200SX wish I kept it. Still to late now.
Would have definatly done a deal against my presant Scoob but you have allready ordered one so to late now again.
