Tom, Don`t know how to tell if i`s FIA approved or not. The thing is covered in white foam padding. If you know then tell me what to look for. It`s a pukka item though, not a load of scaffolding welded together!!!!

The cage should have the details of the manufacturer and the date of manufacture on it. Whilst the jap "street" cages look well made, they need a lot of work to meet FIA/MSA approval.

Pete, I will have a look for some markings on it and let you know, although it may well be one of the jap "street" items that you mentioned, if so "Any one need some scrap foam covered tubular steel, I am willing to chop into foot lenghts and post any where, just to get rid of the stuff!!!!!!
