Yep, saw this car at the said dyno meet Sunday and she is fantastic. Only wish I had the cash to spare. To think I spent this much on a standard UK one just 6 months ago... You live and learn I guess!

Question

Looks gorgeous, but excuse my ignorance.

What are "Broquet (2 x 8 cone) fuel catalysts " ?

What is your insurance? I've got an UK spec MY99 4 door Sonic blue and my interest has been "tweaked". I'm 27 and last year paid £600 for f/c etc.

sickboy -
Broquest catalysts go in the fuel tank to improve combustion of (97 ron fuel) - aim is to alleviate possible problems with running 'poor' fuel in the UK without adding octane booster - there has been endless debate on this BBs about whether they work or not ... not getting embroiled in that here - however the same 2 x 8 cone units were fitted in all 22B type UK cars and are also being fitted in the P1s as standard...thus not just me using them! - anyway, the dyno figures speak for themselves - achieved without adding octane booster!

ref insurance - I pay £800 (Adrian Flux) - but am a 'ripe' 37 and have no 'history'

cheers,

Paul W

sickboy,
I've got a v4 '97 4door STi and my insurance is a smidge over 800 based in Dorset with 2 claims back in '98.
Try A-Plan (Lee) 0845 0711234 or Footman James 0121 561 4196 or Keith Michaels 0181 642 7868. They were all around the 8-900 mark.
lovely cars.....
