I have had to cancel my order for a P1 due to a job change. The dealership in Lincolnsire will not give me back my £1000 deposit (although I bought my Impreza Turbo in July '99 from them).

Email me if you want to take up this order - I am just keen to get my deposit back.

Does it say anywhere in the agreement you signed that the deposit is not refundable? If it doesn't, then it is refundable. You'll probably sell the car easy enough, but if you don't, reject every car the dealer offers you. It is your legal right to reject if you are not completely happy with the car, and they will soon get the message.
