Default Last attempt b4 it gets broken 4 spares

96,000 miles. only approx 26000 miles on engine

It's an 88 F plate 2wd.

I have a folder full of paperwork for the car aswell as old mot's.

It was a feature car in Fast Ford Sept 2000 issue (page 92 if you have it)
and also was used as a Spec-R show car

spec is

200 block
4x4 pistons
standard 2wd head
group a headgasket
standard cams
NGK 9's spark plugs
stage 3 dark green 803 injectors
stage 3 ahmed bayjoo chip
3 bar map sensor
Brand new T35 hybrid turbo with 0.63 exhaust housing (less than 400 miles use)
Brand new -34 uprated actuator
modified 4x4 exhaust manifold
Genuine RS500 intercooler
stainless steel scorpion 3" system with centre box removed and 3.5" rolled out tail pipe
spec-r polished rocker cover
spec-r header tank
spec-r power steering tank
spec-r strut brace
spec-r swirl pot
spec-r breather system (with braided hoses)
spec-r accelerator cable bracket
spec-r cone filter shield
spec-r strut tops
spec-r cambelt cover (not fitted)
spec-r battery cover (not fitted)
spec-r fuse box cover
spec-r group a dump valve
spec-r turbo heat shield
spec-r polished alternator
spec-r coil can and bracket
spec-r polished under bonnet plates (with cosworth engraved)
pipercross induction kit
blue boost hoses
blue water hoses
recent gearbox
new clutch

INTERIOR
full recareo raven leather (in good condition, with new drivers bolster)
black dash
colour coded centre console and roof panel
autometer ultra lite boost gauge in carbon surround
RS 4 spoke steering wheel
escort cosworth style gear ****

EXTERIOR
fully resprayed in ford magenta red (original colour) approx 4 years ago (and still mint)
rear spoiler lip filled and colour coded
colour coded door handles
delocked doors
late spec ford and sierra rs cosworth badges
Rs7 spoke alloy's diamond cut and polished
late spec smoked rear lights with numberplate surround
clear front and side indicators
4x4 vented bonnet
meshed front grill and fog lights
lowered approx 35mm

alarm and 2 immobilisers + anti hijack

heres some pics

There is a problem with it atm, It was running fine, but last week when the weather turned to **** I went though a puddle and the engine bay got wet, and since then the car hasn't run properly.
I have done a compression test and all 4 cylinders are showing 140 psi, I have replaced the dizzy cap, rotor arm, phase sensor, crank sensor, iscv, and tried another 3 bar map sensor , different plugs, different coil, and a different ecu, none of these have made any difference at all.

The car will start sometimes and will missfire, when it does this there is alot of black smoke (over fueling) and it won't idle.
Other times it will start and will run without missing or smoking at all, and will idle, and sometime it will just turn over for ever and not fire.
There is spark to all 4 plugs and there is fuel getting through (as I can smell it).

I have no idea what to try next, and therefore I am putting it up for sale as a non runner, there is no mechanical problems with it that I know of and it is a dodgy sensor or water in the wiring somewhere, and I have now given up on it.

It is tax'd until the end of the month and has MOT until July 05
So if you want it make me a serious offer via pm otherwise I will be breaking it to get my money back on it.

***** UPDATED *****

Have managed to get it to run with no missfire atall and it did idle and rev fine for a few mins.
Then it started to play up again and I noticed some smoke from under the bonnet. On close inspection there is oil dripping from the turbo - manifold join. I also noticed the turbo was spooling up very low in the rev range, so I took the boost hose off and noticed some minor damage in there.
The nut that goes onto the end of the shaft has 1 edge missing from it, and there appears to be a skim mark on 1 blade, it's not bent or twisted but does have a very clear mark on it.
So I think the water from the puddle was just a coincidence and the problem is that the oil seal in the turbo is fubar causing oil to get into the bores and therefore causing the missfire.

Any questions just email me on cossie1@blueyonder.co.uk
or PM me or ring 07812 079252

Cheers

p.s may swap or px why

Thats a highly spec'd Cossie.

No good to me though, the neigbours already think Im a drug dealer, and where I live it rains 363 days of the year..

Bad luck on not finding the illusive fault.

And good luck on your sale.

Cossie01

I've PM'd you before asking about the price but at that time, it was way too much for me. Do you have a revised price before breaking? If so, give me another PM please. Genuinely interested, but at the right price.

Thanks
