Default TITANIUM STi Back Box "FOR SALE"

OK, This is a pretty rare piece of equipment and when on full chatter sounds like a banshee on steroids...!

Originally fitted to the S202 this is one fine piece of workmanship.

New they cost around £1000.00. This EXAMPLE is immaculate and came off of my 2003 S202. Reason for removal full 3" bore system from TSL. Losing this stunning tailpipe was a harsh sacrifice in favour of increased torque.

For those of you out there running a 2.5" bore system this is the ultimate piece of kit and has the STi Logo stamped into the Titanium right at the end of the tailpipe.

Its VERY light, absolutley mint and looking for a worthy home.

Will go to the 1st person with £600.00, your not likley to see one of these on anything other than an S202.

Contact Andy on: 07973 750217 or andylaw@andylaw.co.uk

I've no pictures at present due to my sister nicking my digital camera for her holiday. Will have some next week "if its still around"...!

Talking must have...must have...must have....

I have one of these on my Sti7 and can confirm that they are expensive, but they are the best sounding back box you can fit to you Scooby. It sounds like no other, real nice system with a really rally car sound. So light it is unreal to be honest. Loud at full throttle, but can be driven sensibly too. This is a “must have” if you are sticking with a 2 ½ inch system. I will need to move onto a 3” system soon myself and the one thing that is stopping me is loosing the titanium back box….what a nightmare

The pictures may help. My one is the polished pipe, which I got direct from Japan. I believe the S202 pipe are the satin type finish. Worth every penny if you want to make the car unique to all the others Scooby’s out there. They are like hens teeth...very scarce indeed

Default You're right, it does have a satin finish....

Thanks Jools for explaining the virtues of the ultimate back box. Looking at your pictures this one seems to have a slightly larger exit...?

As soon as my digital camera is back I'll post up some shots. All the same it looks and sounds wicked.

As for the overall weight you have to pick it up with your hands to beleive it...!

When they took it off my car the guy braced himself for the weight as the back box dropped. Instead he nearly put it through the bottom of the car...

At £600 this is an absolute bargain & a one off...

Jools, just been out to the garage to measure the exit of the tail pipe on the back box and its 4.5" out of interest is that the same as yours...?

Thanks again, Andy

Andy, Yip the very same at 4 1/2 ". It has the pink Sti logo on the side as you described. Sti only brought out the one Sti titanium back box and it was designed purluey for the light weight S202, but in the far east you can buy it as an extra from Subaru dealers. Can’t get them in the UK. I found all this out when I was working out in Singapore. That’s were I found out about the two finishes they do, either polished finish or brushed finish (I think “brushed” would be the correct terminology). From what I know the S202 comes with the brushed finish, and the Sti back box you buy as an after market extra comes with the polished finish. Certainly that’s what the Subaru & Sti people in the Far East told me a couple of years back. I run mine with the PPP Prodrive sports cat DP and straight through mid sections. Great piece of kit and it’s so light that you can hold it up by the very end of you little finger. Jools

Surley there's someone out there that wants to stand out from the crowd. This is a one off, titanium masterpeice. Given the number of Scoob owners on the forum I had expected to get my arm ripped off for this...!

£550.00 O.N.O

Default I'm pretty sure it will.

As long as the P1 is running a 2.5" system which I'm pretty sure it is I think it'll fit. To be sure I'd give TSL a call just in case. I checked it against my mates classic shape Scoob and it was exactly the same.

The main differences with exhausts on Scoobs are from the backbox forward to the manifold.

Cheers,

Andy
