For sale: STI-V back box, done about 5,000 miles - excellent condition (nice & shiny). 50 squids. Buyer collects (South Bucks area).
Also catted mid section - free to whoever collects it.

So if the centre section is catless - how does it pass the MOT test in 3 years time! - the centre section of my sti5 exhaust certainly had a bulge.... WHICH WAS THE CAT last time I checked - but hey what should I know I dont make the things!

Did you check that the bulge had a CAT in it ??
I have a CATless centre section on my V4 - the removed original centre section has a bulge but no CAT.
I have been reliably informed that very early V4's had CATS, later V4's dont & V5 & 6's dont at all.
My later V4 certainly doesn't as I have inspected it.
Dunno about the MOT issue - maybe there are people out there with de-catted 3 year old STi's that can answer that one ??

There's been debates on this in previous threads, try a search. IIRC the first cat in the downpipe does most of the work, hence the car should pass without the centre section cat.
