Exactly

I know at least one dealer with ready access to a new one and he'd probably do a deal on list!! I didn't want to be the first one to say it...

I am also advertising my car with Cardata.
So far I have had zero response from that particular advert.
I would be interested to here if anyone on here has had any success with them? - either buying or selling?

Phil,
When I sold my car, I had Cardata people phone me, promising me how good they were. I didn't get ONE response. My advice to anybody, who gets approach by Cardata, is to stay WELL CLEAR from them.

Cardata = promises, promises, promises and no results. In the end I just didn't pay them and I have had no nasty letters etc.

Cardata = Bobbins

Red face

I've had no response from CarData either. A few from AutoTrader though. I'll put it in EVO and Top Marques too, so we'll see.

Sounds like I should have listened to you guys before handing over the cash! Might be worth my while given them a ring and complaining though.
I don't suppose anyone is interested in buying an RB5!

Hmmmmm.. tough choice that - paying about list - as others have said - there are plenty around in dealer rooms - unsold

Might be worth.... £25k... but then I'm an optimistic person

Would swap some one for my sti 5 if they handed me about £5k in cash as well

Bern

Said it before, How MUCH?

Thats seriously overpriced for an overrated car. Check out last months Japenese Perfromance magazine to see what they said in their P1 vs Type R review.

Give me the Type R every day of the week.

I agree that £25 k is more the mark.

Wasn't that the P1 that was in the trader for £34K last week. Nearly laughed meself off my sofa!!! Only kidding, but nearer £25-26K is more realistic.

Unhappy

It was in AT for silly amount - their mistake, which is why I got an extra two weeks free! I think those of us that pre-ordered ended up paying too much for the thing, which has put those of us who need to sell in a bit of a spot now. Thought I'd start at the 31995 and work from there. Anyone who knows their Subaru's will know the true value, and we can work something out - at least it'll keep the rabble away! I read the Jap Car writeup. The P1 is more suited to my style of driving than the imports. I do too many motorway miles, and I find the longer gearing ideal. Much more pleasant on the long trips than my 99 turbo. And then on the back roads... zoom. Incidently, I raced an STI V the other day, and he couldn't keep up. Unfortunately, you never know how the other car has been looked after, whether they've got the cheap petrol in etc. He was too miffed to stop and have a chat, so I'll never know..!

Japanese Peformance mag article was crap. Maybe he was worried about losing his grey advertising if he told the truth.

The P1 will easily outhandle an STI V. And yes Ive owned one. Cornering speeds in the P1 and nice A and B roads are increased over the std STI. The P1 is the best incarnation to date for the UK.

Resale wise though the P1 is only worth about 27k tops. I have looked as I might change jobs and need to get shot. Most of the offers are around 25k most wont even buy it. Best I got even though I'm not taking it is 28500 with Prodrive Brakes and a few other extras.

Most dealers still have a number of cars to shift. Waiting untill Oct/Nov might prove a better time

Cool

Was a whisker away from buying a P1 from my local dealer for £30500 cash 3 weeks ago, after much deliberation and consultation I opted for a new STi vers.6 ( as advised by David Hendry Car Importers, ex-UK Subaru dealership for many a year ) for a cash price of £24k, mileage so far 1075, mods are a GGR s/s exhaust and air induction kit and today a P1 came up behind me on the M62 with his right hand indicator flashing ( bit different from headlight flashing ) I pulled over, allowed him to come along side, held him all the way.........then left him ( slowly of course )on turning of for my junction he was just about to pass me, he slowed down and put his thumbs up in acknowledgement of defeat, nice guy, wish we'd stopped for a chat, I certainly think he was a little shocked....thoughts ?

Question

Mmm. Can't find your mods on dyno.scoobynet, but seems a good exhaust & induction kit should be worth around 20bHP - get it on a dyno! Mind you, at just over 1000miles, that engine must still be a bit tight. There've been rumours that Prodrive are working on a 300+ upgrade for the P1, but I'm sure it'll be muchos pesatas
