Lordlucan, stay in hiding matey, wished I'd only paid your presumed price for this reg plate but I was the highest bidder at the DVLA classic auction and paid £4150 plus VAT plus transfer fee, I also bought YEL 10W for £6k so lets make sure facts are correct before throwing silly comments into the ring !

lordlucan, having purchased umpteen reg numbers over the years I now realise that I have been paying ridiculous prices for number plates that were obviously overpriced, umm...gosh I remember paying £5k for COS5Y ( currently still on my RS500 ) oh...and £6k for D14BLO on another car I have, I will tread very carefully in future regarding the purchasing of number plates and will no doubt stick to running a little software company I own....thanks for your valued advise.......

I saw this plate on a standard silver my99 about a year ago near Chester.I wondered how long it would take to come up for sale.I have also seen S90OBY on a scoob, small world isn't it.

Mellow Yellow,
Gizajob?
You're not best mates with David Yu by chance?
PS. Someone on this BBS paid 11K for T11RBO, so by that token S60OBY would not be too outragous if you are not short of a bob or 2.

All very true, personalised number plates are a difficult thing to value and I suppose are worth different amounts to different people and organisations, the number plate " S9OOBY was sold by DVLA for £4k but " S6OOBY " is the one that looks correct, I was bidding against genuine cartoon nuts of SCOOBY DOO, " SHA66Y " went for £15k to one of these guys, T3RBO is currently on the market for £15k and it tends to be a mixture of demand and the dealing companies that put the value on these things.........oh by the way I have my company name on my daily used car number plate..." OCE4N "...cheers all !

Interesting plate Mellow Yellow...alas I have mine already sorted "P1 RUM"...and as you say they are all very personal and prices vary with the times.
The cost for that particular plate seems reasonable to me, bearing in mind the present market.
Interesting other plates as well ...I take it you have other interesting cars to go with the plates.
If you require a good quote for all of them I could try and sort you out.
All the best and good luck with the sale.
Cheers Tom

Ha ha nearly bought that plate myself for £250 from DVLA but didnt bother. I see someone did . Maybe just to make some money eh ???!!!
Private plates are great BUT you NEED to be anonomous on the road if you are enjoying the benefits of scooby ownership.

i like seeing private interesting plates on cars and yours would be nice on my MY00 if i had the money which i dont now i've bought my scoob !!
good luck with selling it and i like the other plates you've got as well.
they certainly are individual and as ever its a case of paying for what you think an item is worth to you.
someone will buy them even if to most of us they are silly / extravagant / or just plain to damn expensive !

One of my mates bought S80OBY from the dvla and I'm pretty sure he only paid £400 for it. Why would they be selling S90OBY for £4,000???????
Still, none of your plates are as cool as my 'CK 1' so .
Stef.

AndyMc you don't work for a local fertilizer company do you?
And it wouldn't happen to be your silver 99 car with that plate would it.I work with your brother and was at T.T.E. with you.
Small world it is.
