17 inch wheel and tyre
#1
Discovered whilst cleaning out my garage at the weekend.
One 17 inch gold Speedline Superturismo alloy wheel, fitted with half worn Bridgestone S02 tyres (215/40 x 17)
The wheel has a 4 to 6 inch scratch on it due to a kerbing incident
Open to offers. Buyer collects.

I am interested as there is nothing wrong with having a spare but I live in Stockport Greater Manchester so carrier arrangments would have to be made and also you can keep the tyre as I am on P Zeros and already have a spare.

Sorry to disappoint you all, but I thought you might have guessed by the Smiley
The wheel is actually badly scratched to the extent that the outer rim almost touches the centre of the wheel, and is far from round.
I managed to clip a large rock at the side of a road late last year, and destroyed not only the wheel, but most of the front suspension and an ABS sensor
The tyre has survived remarkably intact, losing only some of the rim protector, but I wouldn't dare risk it on the road.
I did try and claim off the local council, as they had tarred up to, around and behind the rock, but not removed it. They of course denied all responsibility, and it would have cost more to go to court than fix the car (which I had done anyway).
I did try and take the wheel and tyre to the local recycling centre, along with other stuff from the garage like a bent lower suspension arm, struts (I replaced both front struts and springs) etc. They refused to accept the wheel (despite being worth a bit of money in scrap value alone) because they weren't allowed to accept tyres.
Having seen the damage caused to the suspension etc, I am pleased to report that Speedline wheels are indeed very very strong.
