Hi guys,

The oldest part on my car is about to go...

Yep.. the Scoobysport exhaust.

I will be selling the:

Scoobysport Downpipe
Scoobysport mid section (with stainless steel resonator - specifically asked for)
Scoobysport back box.

The question is.. how much is the system worth ?

J.

ps - Dont ask what I am getting...wait and see.

Question

Have just bough a new SS backbox but might be interested in the downpipe and mid section. How old, what condition etc and how much would you want ?

hmm..interesting...

Considering the lot is worth (fitted) about 700 quid, I reckon 350 for the lot is a good price.

But I only want the downpipe (& maybe centre section)

Bear in mind firefox that people will charge you to take off the Downpipe.

Someone offered me a dp off their Impreza but when I added up the cost of removal & re-fitting to mine (& the cost of the pipe of course !) It was cheaper to buy/fit the pipe new from Scoobysport.

Hi guys...

I was thinking about 350-400 pounds for the exhaust (taking into account the centre section).

If someone is local, I might consider fitting it for someone (maybe).

Why would they charge me to take off the exhaust ? How does it work for other people who sell/buy exhausts..does the selling person have to pay for the buyers exhaust to be removed ?

Well I had a guy with a SS downpipe for sale.
Being a completely mechanic illiterate I asked Scoobysport for the price to take his off (fitting the original back on) & put the Dp on mine.
Came out more expensive than buying one new !

But if you can do it yourself then thats a bonus - I wouldn't know where to start !!

DOH!!!
Just saw this thread
I'd be very interested in the Backbox (not in a sexual way you understand!). assuming you can shift the other bits (cwal1 seems keen) to someone who has a backbox i'd got £ 180.00

Ok..

I am after 350+ for the lot...

So if people are assuming 190 for the back box (according to your other post) .... that leaves about £160- 200 for the down pipe and centre section.

J.

ps - Selling online is so difficult.... having a 25 year life time and made of stainless doesnt do much for depeciation.... everything always drops by nearly a half when second hand!

If you'll accept £175 for the downpipe and mid-section I'd take them from you.

If this is acceptable, would you email me offline so we can arrange collection etc.

If you email me could you send to both the following addresses;

chris-wainwright@cwal.fsnet.co.uk
chris.wainwright@btcellnet.net

Chucky..

Eat ya peas and shut up..

After a change of plan.. the exhaust is up for grabs...

It looks like I will split the backbox and the DP/mid section.

Paul.. are you still interested in the back box ?

Chris (cwal1) make it 180 and they are yours.

I will be removing them next week.

Eh ?

I love selling stuff ...not.

You offered 175 before (without carriage)

And now 180 (including carriage) ?

If the backbox is still available, i'd be interested, can it be fitted to the existing centre section?

Not only will people get to see the back of my car when I pass them.. :O

But they will get to smell it!

I had a few pennies to burn.. so I thought I would finally test something... chances are I will change it after a few months...

someone has to do it... lol

Got your email and am happy to go ahead. Having difficulty replying from work as hardware upgrades are interrupting the email service .
