You'll be lucky to get £18k for it with that mileage - things are really bad out there.
I suggest that you get a price from a dealer, add £1000 and try to sell privately again.
Check out other ads in this For Sale section too.

It's time to move on for reasons I won't go into, and therefore my Scooby is up for sale.
It's a UK car, registered 16 October 1999. It's highly specced as listed below.
DBM, 25K Miles , FSSH
17" Speedline Anthracite Alloys (like P1's!),
Black Leather Interior,
Factory Fit Sun-roof,
Air-conditioning,
Prodrive Rear Spoiler,
Prodrive Front discs & pads all-round,
Scoobysport Back Box,
Pipercross induction kit,
Side protection strips,
Headlamp & Fog Lamps protectors,
Alarm & Immobiliser, & "other" security.
"555" registration plate.
Still 2 years warranty.
An excellent looking car. Offers around £20500,
Drop me a line for a pic.
Cheers
Steve

From Glasses guide (basic model) :
Your valuation for a 1999 V with 25,000 miles
New £ 20770
Excellent £ 14650
Average £ 14100
Poor £ 12750
Retail £ 17100 (I guess this is the price from a dealer)
Add a generous £3000 for the extras and that makes £ 17650 as I'm sure the condition is excellent.
