Question

How much are you wanting for the SS exhaust system? (Going by other systems sold, I am thinking in the region of 330.) I presume it would fit ok on a MY96. No different mounting points.

Is the centre section a straight through pipe? or does it have a resonator?

What model year is the PPP for?

Cheers,

P.

P.S. Am I the first to register interest?

Sith,

As the SS kit if only a month old, I was hoping for something in the region of £500 for it.

Standard ScoobySport centre section, downpipe and silencer box. Not sure of mounting for my96 - ask Pete Croney at Scoobysport.

PPP is for my Jan 2000 MY99 car.

PS: I know I said the kit had been fitted on my car for 10 months - the PPP has, the SS kit is 1 month old.

How many miles have the Prodrive midsection and backbox been on for ? ( I'm assuming you've been running Scoobysport for a while )
You'll be selling the intercooler hosing too which is an integral part of PPP ?
I'll mail you an offer if you can answer the above and I can establish with my dealer warranty intact on 2nd hand...

Rico,

A normal PPP doesn't include any mods to the midsection. Anyone wanna confirm this ?

I'm trying to get a feel for how much these parts are worth and if I can sell them or not.

Sunilp has been trying too sell his PPP( without intercooler hosing though)since August sometime...without success.I believe he was asking in the region of 1250 pounds - his system had around 4 months use I think.

The PPP definately includes a stainless exhaust midsection...I have the sales brochure.

IMHO you'd struggle to get into four figures for a sale...esp since all our cars are depreciating faster than gravity !

Thanks for the reply.

As it has been on a month, my offer is too low.

Unfortunately I will have to let it pass.

I'm not too far from SS myself, so the price is a bit high for me.

I'm sure you won't have any problems finding someone for it in your neck of the woods.

Thanks & regards,

P.

ok mate, no problems

I might even part-ex the car with my dealer - whoever gets it will get a total bargain - the car is only 10months old, has 17" gold prodrives on it, and all the kit I've mentioned.

Would you part with the PPP for 950 quid ?
( my rationale is 190 backbox (going rate)/700 ECU (circa price of other ECU's new)/45 centre/15 hosing )Reasonable ?
I'd bear any carriage cost.

Just for the record

1) The PPP does come with the STIv5 centre section.

2) I do not need to sell my PPP and dont need the cash. I am now firmly keeping it as it will make the car easier to resell/trade in and is worth 1k on trade in to me anyhow.

Rico, thanks for the offer but I've been offered a good trade-in deal on the whole car.

The moral of the story is, go to a city based dealer who'll offer a good deal on a car with the bits I've got, opposed to a dealer who's out in the countryside and who's main customer base are farmers and vets wanting sportswagons, etc...

Nothing wrong with SportsWagons

As today proved, in many cases, Wagons are superior to PPP saloons
