Mate of mine needs to get rid of his BMW Z3M (lhd) but not sure where to advertise - what do you guys reckon ? Autotrader, Local press, Autocar or perhaps specialist BMW mag ?

Any help appreciated

I've always sold my cars through LOOT or discreet ads on the side windows of the car. LOOT is good because it is free and circulated around your local area.
