Hi Andrew,
If its advice worth to you, I had one exactly like yours, only in green. Same year, mileage and the extras weren't far off. I put mine up for 12k, got 1 offer for 11k and i took it.
Good luck!
Cem

Thanks Cem.
Can I ask where you advertised yours? I am looking for a quick sale, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
How did you approach the difficult situation of meeting prospective buyers and giving test-drives?
Cheers.
Andrew.

Hey Andrew,
Sorry took so long about this, forgot![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif)
Best thing I can advise (although I cannot claim myself to be an expert, merely lucky) is to place as large an advert as you can, especially if it is Top Marques, there are SO many Scoobs in that. It needs to stand out, you see?
RE. test drives, I would decline. Tell them to get a test drive from a dealer and that you would welcome an RAC/AA check. That should put his doubts at rest!
Also, never meet people at your home address for the 1st visit, and dont try to hide the reason either. Be honest and tell them that you would rather not show them where you live. You never know who you are dealing with.
Finally, Take the 1st reasonable offer you get, I did!
Cem (good luck)

Andrew,
I sold my R reg MY97 in July. Best I could get then was £12.4K.
I advertised in Exchange & mart first (total waste of time). I find the best place was on Autotrader's website (cost £5 per week and can book& pay online).
Good luck with your sale......

Cheers Stevie.
Have put it up on the Auto Trader website already. So far I've had two emails from companies who 'have a number of buyers waiting for my car' (yeah, right!) and one ominous phonecall from a company offering a free copy of their magazine and wanting my address details ...
Even so, I reckon it's a good place to advertise as it's the first place I'd look! It's going in the local Auto Trader magazine next week.
