Matt,
Sounds about right pricewise, though at that mileage it may be just a tiny tad high. If you've had the cam belt done, it would be worth pointing out in the advert in AutoTrader as that is quite expensive and due at 72k. For the boy racers, it may be worth pointing out that it's only group 12 insurance too.
I should think you'd be able to find someone wanting to buy at that price as it's a desireable car: I had an N reg RSI before the scoob and loved it to bits (not literally, thankfully). There's an almost cult following... Don't forget to mention the colour, especially if it's monaco blue!

Thanks Chiark,
Yep Cambelt changed at 36,000 and then 72,000 if you ook after you car like I do.
It is indeed Monaco blue.
I'll throw in the sony cassette and 10 CD change.
You're right about the ins. group fantastic value for money - this car will do sub 7sec 0-60's and looks mean with the bonnet vent.
Fingers crossed for a scoob for XMAS
Come on santa u can do it !

Forgot to mention - Had a 1993 Rsi before the 16v for a couple of years.
Great Q car - everyone thought it was a 1.2 or something equally poor until you put the foot down. The 8v engine seemed really responsive low down or was that my mind playing tricks.
Great memories of BMW drivers faces !!!

I used to own the "Ultimate Clio" a pristine Williams mkI (no 41 if anyone knows who now owns it). Used to get to loads of people asking questions about it, including the police (in the nicest possible way!) - not least because it was one of the first cars to have gold wheels as standard, pretty quick too........

M@TT, distracting back to the RSI... At the time you had that, I had a 19 16V which was a dog until 4000RPM+. The Clio was a better car, and the 8V was extremely driveable with quite a bit of grunt low down, which made it an easy car to drive...
My mum had a 1994 model RSI, and I had a 1996 model RSI. The 96 seemed faster. Well it would do: it was mine
Good luck with the sale. Shame I can't persuade my wife to have one... She's just bought an X reg 1.2. Wouldn't look at the 172 .
(Sorry for taking this off topic: it's good to reminisce)
