Default Magnex centre de-cat pipe, for sale. £42.80!!

I had a new magnex de-cat centre pipe fitted 10 days ago at Power Engineering, added 15 bhp and 18 ftlb torque! In the rush I made the wrong choice and went for the non resonated one, too loud for me, not my style!

I have now bought and fitted a resonated one and thereore am selling the straight through pipe with only 8 days use on it! (Didn't drive for 2 of the days!)Postage is £7.20 so looking for £42.80 + p&p i.e. £50 inc p&p. These are £65 new, usually plus p&p. Will fit most classics, but do ask any questions.

Hi mate,

Slight hi-jack and a BTTT: In what way is it too loud? I nearly went for one of these for my P1 but was advised it would be louder. Is it outside the car it is loud or does it boom inside?

the only difference I found between the two is on full boost, and only very marginally louder inside the car

If its a wagon then it can be quite boomy inside

I found with the Scoobysport back box only I had a great burble but it was

too quiet in the car! Had to put the windows down round town to hear it, but sounded like a normal car on the motorway. With the decat non resonated centre pipe, it drones on the motorway and is, I find, annoying. Also very loud around the 2,500 rpm mark and therefore loud around town. Great for the boy racer/dump valve brigade, but I'm 43 and past all that now!

Anyone want a swap, will be buying a new resonated one on Saturday if not!!

Hi Keef,

Is the center section still for sale or has it gone, do you recon it would be to loud with a magnex back box which is relativly quiet?

It will give a great sound with a Magnex back box, if you like the louder Scooby growl/burble. But, as above, provisionally sold, should be picked up Sunday 10th, if not will PM you.
